In Far Cry 6, you will need to hunt down all five mythical animals to unlock the Primal gear set and the Ultimate Predator achievement/trophy. These mythic animals have increased health and are more aggressive than their regular counterparts. So it is recommended that you try to hunt these animals when your character level is around 15.

You can kill the mythical animals with any weapon you want because their pelts are indestructible. Be warned, some of these mythic animals have special abilities that can make hunting a challenge. Approach the mythical animals with caution, heavy firepower, and a basic strategy, and you will have little trouble hunting these creatures.

Mamutito The Hog (Wild Boar)

Mamutito is hiding off of the northern coast in the Vencejo region of Isla Santurio.

Mamutito surrounds itself with other boars that will attack you. Use the naturally rocky terrain around Mamutito to avoid their attacks. While you are on the rocks, use your weapons to do as much damage as possible.

Black and White Demoniaco (Wolves)

The Black and White Demoniaco are a pair of wolves that can revive each other with their howls. They are hiding in a valley southwest of Ída’s Refuge in the Aguas Lindas of Madrugada.

If you get the jump on these two from a distance, you can take out most of their health before they get close. Once you knock one down, keep shooting that wolf to prevent it from resurrecting. Both wolves have a unique pelt for you to collect, and each skin counts as one mythical animal. Therefore, this location counts as two out of the five mythical animals.

Venodiente (Crocodile)

Venodiente is hiding in a poisonous swamp in the Balaceras region in the Valle de Oro, directly north of the Libertad Island.

Venodiente is a crocodile that spreads poisonous gas. So if you get too close to Venodiente, it will poison you. It is best to shoot at Venodiente from a distance. That way you do not get poisoned. Also, Venodiente is surrounded by other crocodiles and leaking poison tanks. Stick to a smart strategy and it will make hunting Venodiente a lot easier.

Sanguinario (Jaguar)

Sanguinario comes out at night at a fishing village on the southern coast of Sierra Perdida in El Este. You must visit this location at night for the mythical animal hunting spot to unlock. It can be tricky for the hunting spot to appear, so if you show up at night and nothing happens, quickly fast travel to a nearby location and return to the village. Keep doing this throughout the night until Sanguinario appears.

Sanguinario is easy to kill. Stick to the high ground and use an automatic weapon to do lots of damage quickly. Bear in mind that Sanguinario will try to sneak up on you, so try to spot them from a distance first.

Once you collect all five mythical animal pelts, you will unlock the Ultimate Predator achievement/trophy. Also, make sure you have to a hunter’s lodge to trade in these animal pelts to get the Primal gear set.
