Ubisoft has just announced Far Cry 6’s post-launch content plans, and it involves some pretty bizarre crossovers. Stranger Things, Rambo, and Machete’s Danny Trejo are all coming as free missions you’ll be able to play soon after Far Cry 6’s launch.
First up, Danny Trejo’s is making tacos on the island of Yara. This isn’t actually all that strange, given that Trejo owns a successful taco stand business and even has a taco cookbook. But what is strange is how Trejo delivers those tacos to the people of Yara. For some reason, government troops are trying to stop Trejo’s taco deliveries, and it’s up to Dani to help Danny feed the people of Yara.
Danny & Dani Vs. Everybody arrives first, but it’ll soon be followed by Rambo: All The Blood. This second crossover mission brings a die-hard Rambo fan to Yara and probably sends Dani on a quest for vengeance. There’s not a lot of info in the trailer, but if it’s anything like the movies, it’ll be unnecessarily violent.
Finally, Chorizo the differently-abled dachshund has disappeared in a way that seems strangely reminiscent of Stranger Things. The Vanishing will bring Netflix’s hit series to the world of Far Cry 6 for no particular reason.
Along with these three crossover missions, Far Cry 6 will also get six Special Operations, with one of them involving a chemical weapons heist. Steal a bomb from Anton's arms dealer and deliver it to the drop-off location before it gets too hot and explodes. Strategically placed outdoor showers can help keep the bomb cool and Dani in one piece.
Rounding out the free content will be Weekly Insurgencies that will involve killing people for loot.
Next, we move on to the Season Pass. As leaked earlier in the summer, the Season Pass will involve three episodes starring past Far Cry villains Vaas, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed. Each episode will take players on a journey into the twisted minds of each villain, delving into their origin stories while progressing through a roguelite game mode. Players will need to search for loot and return to a safe house to upgrade their arsenal in between runs.
And finally, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will arrive soon after the first of Far Cry's villains. Far Cry 6 releases on October 7.
