Ooblets is like a mixture of Pokemon and Stardew Valley. In this game, you create your own little farmer and set sail to a new place where there are little critters and strange, goofy people. Ooblets are funny creatures you can capture and use to help enhance your farm. Ooblets are used to perform creature dance-battles, where you can earn new ooblets upon winning.

Dance battles with ooblets require using a deck of cards to make your ooblets dance better than the opponent. This is only a small portion of what the game has to offer. You can upgrade and customize your character, house, and farm. There are side quests from characters in town as well as from far away via traveling hot air balloon.

Sun Haven is one of the closest games to Stardew Valley on this list. There is a similar retro-style in graphics. You end up in a strange town with magical secrets. There are fantasy species such as elves or elemental creatures. You can choose different species/races in the character customization screen.

This game allows you to upgrade your house, expand your farm, make clearings for more structures, and visit the nearby elven village. As you progress through the main story you can unlock two new maps other than Sun Haven. These two areas have different aesthetics, so if you rather have a house in a Halloween town instead of a quiet farm life, you can. And of course, there are romance options in Sun Haven.

This is a cute, relaxing game. Though you can die due to exhaustion or a mean kangaroo, the game is not meant to be challenging. The main goal is to create a lavish town with electricity and fresh crops. You can also visit your friend's islands.

In Farming Simulator, you basically carry out modern farming duties with realistic graphics and modern-day tools at hand. No fishing with a wooden hand-made pole and no romancing the mayor's daughter. With up to 16-person multiplayer, you and your buds can just do some good, honest work.

You can create and customize your character, and furniture, and do multiple different adventures that don't have to involve your farm.
