But among the hundreds of vehicles and attachments at your disposal, tractors are definitely your bread and butter. They can fulfill multiple roles on your farm, and they are a mainstay of any successful agricultural business. So here are some of the best tractors that the base game has to offer.

7 John Deere 4755

With a name that rings out true among most farmers, John Deere is one of the most easily recognized tractor brands in the world. It only comes naturally to see plenty of their tractors in this game (despite only first being featured to much fan excitement in Farming Simulator 19), with this one being a definite must-buy when starting out, even if only for the namesake.

The 4755 is a medium all-rounder tractor that will usually be the perfect tractor when you're starting out. It's rather cheap, and while the top speed of 35 km/h doesn't sound like much, it's enough for a medium-sized farm. As long as you're not working on a huge farm and have to trek large distances, this will probably be more than enough when starting out.

6 JCB Fastrac 4220

While JCB tractors might not be a brand that is easily recognizable by people, experienced farmers know that they usually deliver some excellent vehicles. The JCB Fastrac 4220 is no different, being one of the fastest tractors in the game.

With a top speed of 60 km/h, this tractor will get you to your destination faster than some of the cars or buggies that the game has to offer. It also sports a variable CVT transmission, with a 235 horsepower engine. An excellent stepping stone tractor when you're trying to expand your farm and you need a faster vehicle to quickly traverse your land, make sure that you actually need it before buying, since it costs a whopping $216,500.

5 Deutz Fahr Series 8280 TTV

It is an ideal tractor for a medium-sized farm, given its excellent horsepower and the fact that you can add plenty of attachments to it. You can also consider turning it into a hauling vehicle once you've upgraded to something else, since it has a pretty good top speed.

4 Claas Axion 960-920 TT

One of the most popular brands of farming vehicles out there, Claas tractors are extremely reliable and dependable machines. This large tractor will fit multiple roles, and it's also one of the cheapest large tractors in the game, making it an excellent starter vehicle.

The Axion 960-920 has a range of 325 to 445 horsepower, with a top speed of 50 km/h. It weighs 14 tons, and has a fuel tank that can hold 640 liters of gas, which will help you shift around even the largest of seeders or plows, making it an excellent option for large fields.

3 New Holland T8 Genesis Series

Another well known tractor manufacturer, New Holland offers some of the most reliable tractors in the game. They also make some of the most aesthetically pleasing vehicles out there, even though that should only be a purchase-worthy decision if you're aiming for an instagrammable farm over a financially successful one.

While the T8 only has a top speed of 50 km/h, it more than makes up for it with a horsepower range from 351 to 435. It weighs 12.6 tons with an impressive fuel tank capacity of 647 liters. If you want to be stylish while doing chores on your farm, this is an excellent choice.

2 Claas Arion 660-610

Farming Simulator 22 Claas Arion 660-610 hauling some produce to a selling point

The only small tractor on this list, but clearly one of the best in that range, the Arion 660-610 is a great starter tractor for a small farm. It can also be useful on bigger farms that want separate vehicles for various tasks or attachments.

Coming in at 7.9 tons with a top speed of 50 km/h, and a horsepower range of 145-205, the Arion 660-610 is one of the fastest small tractors in the game. If you prefer smaller tractors, or only play on small maps with fewer lots, this is definitely the best small tractor that you can add to your garage.

1 JCB Fastrac 8330

And coming out on top of our list, we have the JCB Fastrac 8330, a large tractor that will set you back a hefty sum, but is entirely worth it. This is an endgame tractor to aspire to, and will definitely be needed if you're thinking about taking on a large map in order to create an enormous farm.

It has a total horsepower of 348 with a maximum speed of 70 km/h, making it the fastest large tractor in the game. With enough horsepower to carry pretty much any and all attachments, the Fastrac 8330 is clearly the best option for farmers that have large fields in need of their attention.
