This guide will help you get visuals of what your future farming life could look like. Do you want to go down the expensive route and completely switch up your type of farming? Or do you want to keep things affordable and build on top of what you already have? Take a look below to decide for yourself.

6 Pallethandling

Chickens can start producing eggs when you start your farming adventure, especially if you purchased a mature chicken at the start of your game. Eggs show up on pallets outside the fence surrounding the chicken. These eggs actually cannot be interacted with until you purchase something that can transport pallets.

During your first season of farming, you are able to get a grasp on agriculture and animal husbandry at the same time if you play your cards right. In the Pallethandling section of the store, you can purchase three different vehicles.

The first two machines are called telehandlers, which are more advanced versions of a forklift. Naturally, you can also just purchase a forklift for less money, coming in at $55,000. If you want to tend to your chickens, the first thing you'll need is this.

5 Herbicide Sprayer

Weeds will start growing immediately and can affect your growth and the quality of farm production. The best way to prevent weeds and get rid of them is by purchasing a Sprayer in the storefront.

You can get sprayers in the Crop Protection section of the shop. There will be two sprayers, one being $39,500 and the other being $75,000. Spray herbicide in between harvests to prevent weeds. You can fill up your sprayer at the silo, just like you would with seeds.

4 Crop-Specific Machinery

You are given four basic vehicles to maintain a farm, but not all of them are adequate for crops such as olives or beets. As the seasons change, you will need to switch up what plant you are growing at the time. On top of that, some seasonal plants require extra labor.

A pre-pruner or the MP 122 OCEA in the shop is what you need to prepare grape vines for their next growth. This machine costs $16,000. The Tiger 65 and ROOTSTER 604 are primarily for harvesting sugar beets but are more on the pricier side of $499,000 and $123,000. You can't prepare the soil for and maintain these crops without these machines.

The price of most crop-specific machinery is not too steep, so you will be able to buy these machines when the time comes. This way you can continue your work as the seasons change without missing out on high-value crops. As the seasons change, note what seeds you are trying to grow. The first machine you will want to buy is one for crop-specific work.

3 Forestry Machines

You don't have to stick to harvesting crops and tending to large fields of grains. You can take up forestry, but with that comes a hefty price. If you eventually want to make that shift into forestry work, you should start saving up your money so that you can buy these as your first new machines.

There are three forestry machines you are able to purchase in the store. Each one does a different thing. The Cobra is what you need to cut down trees and will cost you $445,000. The F20D can transport broken-down tree logs for your convenience, coming in at $350,000. The SF900 grinds down leftover tree stumps, so you can clean up the field and repurpose material. If you buy one, you might as well buy them all since the other two machines — aside from the Cobra — are necessary for producing wood efficiently.

2 A Mixer Wagon And Baler

If you are trying to go the Animal Husbandry route, you will need a Mixer Wagon and Baler to actually keep your animals happy. You need to feed your chickens' wheat, but you can only collect wheat as animal feed by turning them into hay bales.

That is where a Baler comes in. The BiG Pack 1290 HDP VC for $155,000 will turn grass and straw into bales. These bales can then be fed to your animals using a Mixer Wagon such as the PF 2.24 Plus for $50,000. You can't tend to your starter chickens without these machines, so they may be the first items you purchase from the shop.

1 Auger Wagons

At the beginning of the game, you are fitted with a small wagon attached to a tractor that you can use to transport the harvested crop to a seller or to other parts of your farm like the Silo. This wagon is pretty small. Once you start getting the hang of farming and have started producing, you might want something bigger and better.

In the shop, you are able to purchase three bigger wagons for transporting goods. They are all $107,000+, so you will have to put in the work to save money for these, but if you need a big wagon chances are you have the money.
