It’s a fun mobile strategy game with some interesting mechanics and an interesting story you can slowly unravel as you level up your characters.

If you’re wanting to cut back on the grind a little or find yourself struggling to make any significant progress then try applying the following tips and you’ll be on your way in no time.

10 Do Your Daily Quests

Your first priority whenever you open the game to play is to prioritize your Daily Quests. These tasks will net you a healthy amount of XP cards for leveling up your servants and the premium currency Mana Prisms.

At the very least if all you do are Daily Quests for a while you’ll level up your servants rather quickly and build a nice stockpile of Mana Prisms for when you can dedicate a little more time to playing. It may be tedious at times, but it’s always worth doing.

9 Prioritize Events

If you’ve completed your Daily Quest and there’s an event going, make sure you are dedicating your time to completing the event and scooping up as many rewards as possible. Don’t worry about getting gems, pieces, or monuments your goal for Events is to get the bonus Servant if you’re interested and amassing a hoard of materials and other items.

These items are much harder to acquire outside of events and while they may not be necessary at the moment your future self will thank you for taking the time to get them now.

8 Complete The Story

Once your Daily Quests are finished and if there isn’t an event going than try to make some serious progress on the main story. In addition to the interesting world you’ll slowly be uncovering you also get a variety of useful items to strengthen your Servants and unlock new features.

If you ignore the main story you’ll find yourself handicapped and lacking the tools to effectively complete events and other content. Progress as far as you can whenever you have the spare time.

7 Using Mana Prisms

As you start acquiring more and more Mana Prisms you’ll be tempted to use them to speed up progress by buying things like Experience Cards or Status Up cards. What you should ideally be spending them on are Summon Tickets.

Your Daily Quests should net you enough Mana Prisms to buy one of these tickets every day giving you a free daily premium summon. This is the single best purchase you can make on a daily basis to improve your team. Any extra Mana Prisms you obtain by burning cards can be spent on more summon tickets or in Event shops as you see fit.

6 A Mix Of Rarities

As you start acquiring stronger and stronger Servants you’ll be tempted to start sacrificing your weaker ones and focusing on your rarer Servants. While you should obviously strive for rarer Servants, make sure you keep a healthy batch of lower rarity ones.

The reason being is that rare Servants are expensive to use in battle as they cost more. But the more common Servants don’t cost nearly as much and having a handful are extremely useful when you find yourself on a strict budget in an upcoming fight.

5 Have a Mix Of Classes

In addition to keeping a variety of rare types you should also have a mix of classes. Before each battle you can take a peek at what the enemy will be using and you should always try to counter as best as you can.

This is much easier to do when you have a variety of classes to pick from. Obviously prioritize your favorites, but don’t throw something out if it’s the only one of its kind in your collection.

4 Craft Essences For Supports

Your Craft Essences are useful to boost the stats of your Servants in order to increase their damage and durability. Many players will make the mistake of loading up their attackers and tanks with Craft Essences, but forget about their supports.

Obviously if you can ensure that every Servant has something, but many players make the mistake of not giving their supports anything and this is a huge liability. Your supports may not be the flashy damage dealers, but they’re often the ones that carry your team, give them Craft Essences and you wont regret it.

3 Do Interludes On Your Favorites

As you ascend your Servants and progress through the main story you’ll eventually unlock Interlude quests that you can complete with specific heroes. Once these unlock you should strive to immediately complete them.

Finishing an Interlude quest will increase the Noble Phantasm power of your Servants and enhance their skills augmenting their combat potential even further. It will also give you some nice backstory and lore on your favorite characters.

2 Rank Up Quests

When your Servant is fully ascended you’ll unlock Rank Up Quests and these are where you can really strengthen your Servants and tap into their full potential. These quests will improve a servant’s skill and their Noble Phantasm dramatically.

It takes a while to get to these quests, but you’ll reap the rewards for doing so and your already strong Servants will be incredible after completing a few of these. Make sure you are ascending Servants you really want to use for a long time or those that have great skills you want to eventually beef up with Rank Up Quests.

1 Remember It’s a Gacha

The most important tip you should take away from this list is that Fate/Grand Order is a Gacha game. There is a lot of grinding and a lot of random chance that goes into getting the Servants you want and building your collection.

You should always have a plan for upcoming events that have Servants you want and definitely save up your resources to increase your odds of obtaining it, but at the end of the day it may not happen even with the best plans and you’ll have to pass up good Servants at times. You can accomplish a lot with the mediocre/free Servants you get and you should see anything stronger as a bonus, it’ll keep you sane and prevent you from wasting resources on this mobile game.
