FIFA 21 continues to dominate the UK retail charts, claiming the top spot for the week ending on April 3. Outriders had a strong showing as well – despite its Xbox Game Pass numbers not being included in these figures.

The latest data – courtesy of GamesIndustry.biz – only looks at physical retail sales in the UK to determine its rankings. It's topped by FIFA 21, followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Monster Hunter Rise, previously listed in first place, has already dropped to the number four slot.

Mario Kart 8: Deluxe takes up the number five spot, followed by Outriders. Considering millions of players had free access to the new title through Game Pass, it's impressive the title nearly managed to crack into the top five.

  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  • Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury
  • Monster Hunter Rise

Outriders may have seen a rocky launch – thanks to overwhelmed servers – but things seem to have stabilized in the days following release. People Can Fly and Square Enix have issued several patches already, as they hope to get more players into the game and let them experience the co-op action with friends on other platforms.

The team hasn't yet gone into details about its server problems, but is expected to talk about the launch day debacle in the future.

Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Rise has already dropped to the number four spot after sitting at the top of the charts a week ago. The game put up impressive stats during its first few days on the market, and it'll be curious to see if sales pick up throughout the rest of April. There's not much competition for the game – besides Outriders – so it might linger on the charts for several weeks to come.

And then there's Animal Crossing – the game every person on the planet seems to own, yet continues to sell like hotcakes.
