The Premier League always comes with a hefty premium price tag in Ultimate Team, especially for the highest-rated players. It'll be no different in FIFA 22. These players are the best of the bunch.

Every year the ratings are fairly controversial. Salah dropping an entire rating? Robert Lewandoski higher than Cristiano Ronaldo? There are always debates, but here's how it stands in the Premier League.

10 Mohamed Salah - 89

FIFA 22 salah card

Whether you're a fan of Liverpool or not, it's hard to justify Salah's 89 rating after his performance last season. Liverpool may not have done as well as in prior seasons, but Salah still scored 23 goals.

Debates aside, Salah's card still looks deadly, and you're not exactly going to be upset if you pack him in the first couple of months. 90 Pace, 87 Shooting, and 90 Dribbling are nothing to sniff at.

9 Virgil Van Dijk - 89

There was a concern that Van Dijk might return a bit out of form after his huge injury last season, but he still comes in at a rating of 89, making him the best center back in the Premier League. Scratch that. He's the best CB in the game.

78 Pace, 91 Defending, 84 Physicality. He's still going to be a nightmare at the back. The premium choice for a Premier League CB.

8 Alisson - 89

FIFA 22 alisson card

Goalkeepers are always a weird one in FIFA. After FIFA 21's autoblock mayhem, you were more likely to see the towering Nick Pope in goal than one of the premium goalkeepers. Alisson is still up there at the top though, with a solid 89 rating.

7 Ederson - 89

FIFA 22 ederson card

Alisson or Ederson? They're both 89 rated this year and their stats are barely indistinguishable from each other. Ederson is an inch shorter than Alisson if that makes any impact on your decision for a quality Premier League goalkeeper.

We won't know more about these two goalkeepers until the traits are released, or we actually see them in action.

6 Sadio Mane - 89

Still one of the best wingers in the Premier League, Mane gets a strong 89 rating this year. 91 Pace, 89 Dribbling, and 83 Shooting make him a pacey, technical option for the LW position.

He's already picked up two goals this season, and it's likely he'll see a lot more as Liverpool battles for the top spot.

5 Heung Min Son - 89

FIFA 22 heung min son card

Ready for another debate? Son is one of the most underrated players in football right now, often overshadowed by Harry Kane at Spurs. He's off to flying a start this season and his 89 rating works just fine. It's likely FIFA 22's new Hypermotion player tracking is going to be great for fast, technical players.

With 88 Pace, 87 Shooting, and 86 Dribbling, there's a real competition between Mane and Son for your left-wing position. It really comes down to your style of play, as both players are going to work wonders.

4 N'golo Kante - 90

FIFA 22 ngolo kante card

Kante receives a boost of +2 to his rating after a completely world-class season last year. He received three MOTM trophies in Chelsea's last three Champion's League matches.

Kante was a broken card in FIFA 21, and it looks like his FIFA 22 card is going to be even more fun/frustrating, depending on whether he's on your team or not. 78 Pace and 87 Defending put him right at the top of the pack for defensive midfielders in the game.

3 Harry Kane - 90

FIFA 22 harry kane card

Harry Kane won the Premier League's Golden Boot last season, snagging the last goal over Mohamed Salah in the final game against Leicester. With 23 goals in 35 appearances, Harry Kane is the Premier League's best striker, although both Ronaldo and Lukaku might have something to say about that this season.

Kane's card has always been a bit...unusable in FIFA's fast-paced dribbling meta. His 70 Pace is always a bit disappointing. Who knows how Kane will fit into this year's Ultimate Team meta.

2 Cristiano Ronaldo - 91

FIFA 22 ronaldo card

The shock Summer signing, Ronaldo is back at United. Although he's 36 years old, he's still one of the world's best players (some would argue the very best, but let's not get into that) and is bound to make an impact in the Premier League.

He's dropped a rating point to 91 compared to FIFA 21's 92, and this puts him behind both Lewandowski and Messi. Let's hope he hasn't seen his FIFA 22 rating yet. 87 Pace, 93 Shooting, and 88 Dribbling still make this card an absolute machine. Your controller is already getting anxious.

1 Kevin De Bruyne - 91

FIFA 22 de bruyne card

Kevin De Bruyne is FIFA 22's best midfielder. His 86 Shooting, 93 Passing, and 88 Dribbling places him miles above the competition, with the closest player of a similar role being Fernandes, who is down at an 88 rating this year.

While his 76 Pace doesn't make him the most popular pick for technical players, who knows how the meta of FIFA 22 will play out. There might finally be a solid place for De Bruyne, especially if you can hit shots from outside the box like older FIFAs.
