Final Fantasy 10: All Celestial Weapon Locations

Fervor behind the acclaimed Final Fantasy series never seems to die down. It's a testament to how good the games really are that they have endured for so long. Of course, lots of the sidequests often require outside assistance to complete.

Obtaining the ultimate weapons (or celestial, in this case) presents a fun challenge to late-game players who want more power. Here are all of the celestial weapon locations in Final Fantasy 10.

Note: In order to unlock any weapon’s full potential, you’ll need the corresponding Sigils and Crests.

Step 1: Obtain The Cloudy Mirror

Visit Remiem Temple in the Calm Lands using a Chocobo.
Talk to the Chocobo on the left of the temple’s entrance.
Participate in and win the Chocobo race to receive the Cloudy Mirror.

Step 2: Visit Macalania Woods & Talk To The Mother & Child

Follow the winding path of Macalania Woods until you meet a random mother and child duo.
Speak to the mom and she’ll mention her missing husband.
Visit the campsite in Macalania Woods on the screen that leads to the lake and Bevelle.
Talk to the husband who will then head back to the family.
Visit the woman again and discover that now it is her child who is missing.
Look to the left to find a crystal path. Follow it north then take a left at the first t-shaped intersection.
Locate and speak to the child. This will prompt the player to use the Cloudy Mirror.
It will transform into the Celestial Mirror.

Note: this is where you will have to return to unlock all traits for the ultimate weapons using sigils and crests.

Step 3: Find Every Weapon, Crest, & Sigil

Now comes the real fun. Finding all seven weapons and even the crests is easy enough; it's finding the sigils that's time-consuming. But this guide breaks down weapon location, crest location, sigil location, and how to get each item for each character. Let's begin.

Tidus - Caladbolg

Weapon Location: A hidden slope in the Northwestern edge of the Calm Lands.

How To Get Caladbolg: A man will block your way; to get him to move, talk to the Chocobo

Trainer. Beat him in Catcher Chocobo then go back and the man will be gone. Go down the slope, touch the glyph, wait for the mirror to react, then take the weapon.

Sun Crest Location: The room in Zanarkand Dome where you fight Yunalesca.

How To Get The Sun Sigil: Complete all of the Chocobo Trainer exercises.

Auron - Masamune

Weapon Location: Cavern of the stolen fayth

How To Get Masamune: The Masamune will be a Rusty Sword at first when you find near the cavern for Yojimbo’s fayth just before heading to the Ronso mountain area. You’ll then need to visit the Lord Mi’ihen statue on Mushroom Rock Road. Place the sword in it then touch the glyph and you should receive the Masamune.

Mars Crest Location: The end of the lower path below the Mi’ihen High Road.

How To Get The Mars Sigil: Unlock and complete “Area Conquest” or “Species Conquest” in the Monster Arena to receive the sigil as a reward. You’ll need to complete 10 or more to receive it.

Area Conquest: find one of each fiend.
Species Conquest: capture one of each species.

Lulu - Onion Knight

Weapon Location: an underwater Baaj Temple test on the lower right side

How To Get Onion Knight: Locate the chest in Baaj Temple and have the mirror with you. It will react, open, and reward you with the weapon.

Venus Crest Location: Guadosalam Farplane

How To Get The Venus Sigil: Dodge 200 lightning strikes in a row on the Thunder Plains. The Travel Agency will have your rewards to claim.

Wakka - World Champion

Weapon Location: the Luca Bar/Cafe

How To Get World Champion: You’ll need to play and win enough Blitzball games before the bartender will give you the weapon. Place third or higher in a tournament and have the Celestial Mirror in your possession.

Jupiter Crest Location: In a locker of the Aurochs’ room in Luca.

How To Get The Jupiter Sigil: Again, you’ll need to play and win Blitzball games to get the Jupiter Sigil. It will pop up randomly as a first prize reward along with other Overdrive abilities for Wakka.

Rikku - Godhand

Weapon Location: Cid's Airship

How To Get Godhand: Input the password “Godhand” while aboard the airship and the new area “Mushroom Rock” will unlock. Explore it to find a chest that contains Godhand.

Mercury Crest Location: Sanubia Desert West antlion pit

How To Get The Mercury Sigil: Finish the Cactuar Village questline to unlock all areas that the sandstorm blocks. You’ll find the Mercury Sigil there.

Kimahri - Spirit Lance

Weapon Location: Thunder Plains

How To Get Spirit Lance: Visit Rin’s Travel Agency and read the book available there. Then find and pray at 3 glowing Cactuar Stones in the Thunder Plains.

After that, a Cactuar ghost should appear that will lead you to a crumbling tower in the first section of the plains. Pray at this to reveal a chest with the weapon in it.

Saturn Crest Location: Behind a pillar on Gagazet Prominence -- the place where the Seymour Flux boss battle occurs.

How To Get The Saturn Sigil: Catch 7 blue butterflies in the Macalania Woods minigame as given to you by the musicians.

Yuna - Nirvana
