10 Learning to Lali-ho

Final Fantasy 14 Lali-ho Emote

Players can start the "Learning to Lali-ho" quest in Kholusia, one of the areas added in the most recent expansion, Shadowbringers. You need to speak to Ronitt at (X:11.1, Y:11.8) to start the quest and it is super easy to complete. It has a little bit of running around, but essentially you'll be guided to speak to specific NPCs at certain locations, before being rewarded with the Lali-ho emote.

To be able to start the quest, players must have progressed past the "Meet the Tholls" main scenario quest and completed the prerequisite quest chain beginning with "A Disagreeable Dwarf" from Beott in Kholusia (X:12.5, Y:9.3).

9 Like Cats and Dogs

The quest "Like Cats and Dogs" doesn't actually give the rewards, but it opens up two separate quests that will each give you an awesome minion. Speak to Skribyld in Western La Noscea (X:26.4, Y:26.4) to begin "Like Cats and Dogs" and follow through on speaking to various NPCs to complete it.

After this, Skribyld will offer two new quests "Curiosity Killed the Coeurl" and "Man's Best Friend". The first rewards you with the Coeurl Kitten minion and is easy enough to complete by looking for a baby coeurl in Skull Valley, and then report to Skribyld. The second will reward you with the Wolf Pup minion and you just have to trade the pup a bone and /soothe it before speaking to Skribyld to complete the quest.

7 Protectors of the Wood

Final Fantasy 14 Great Serpent of Ronka Minion

Another great side-quest that was added with the addition of Shadowbringers is "Protectors of the Wood", which rewards players with the Great Serpent of Ronka minion. This little guy has become so popular with fans that there is now more than one minion variant of him and an awesome mount! However, to get the original, just follow the instructions below.

Speak to Phyna in The Rak'tika Greatwood (X:30.8, Y:20.3) to start the quest. You'll be asked to run around and speak to various NPCs before heading out to track down three ancient stone tablets. Your map will guide you to the locations required, after which you must speak to Quinfort before finally handing the tablets to Lanille to receive your new minion.

To access this quest, you must have progressed past the "In Good Faith" main scenario quest. 6 Scholasticate Quest Chain

Final Fantasy XIV Briardien

The Scholasticate side quest chain has a few decent rewards including the Inspector's Eyeglasses item, Spectacles emote, and the Scholasticate Coat item, earned from the last two quests in the chain. These items, especially the Eyeglasses, are popular for glamors.

To begin this quest chain you need to accept the "Keeping the Ledger" quest from Mathye in The Pillars (X:6.3, Y:9.4). To begin this, players must have completed the main scenario quest "He Who Would Not Be Denied" first.

5 And Then There Were None

Final Fantasy 14 Giant Beaver Minion

Another Shadowbringers side quest rewards you with this adorable Giant Beaver minion, though it's not a straight forward reward like other sidequests. You need to complete the sidequest chain that begins with "When Beavers Cry" from Lad Kenn in Il Mheg (X:14.1, Y:32.7).

Once you have finished "And Then There Were None" (also from Lad Kenn) a Giant Beaver NPC will then become a merchant. He can be found in Il Mheg at (20.6-36.2). Trading this beaver a Dancing Wing will get you the Giant Beaver minion! However, that's easier said than done, as Dancing Wings only drop from The Dancing Plague (Extreme) trial, or you can opt to buy one from the market board, but it won't come cheap.

4 Disciples of Creation

The "Disciples of Creation" quest gives the Namazu Bell item as a reward, a popular glamor item, especially for Miqo'te and Hrothgar characters as it makes them look like pet cats. The quest is given by Gyoshin in The Azim Steppe (X:6.2, Y:23.3).

This quest is actually one of the Beastmen quests, so players will have to progress through the Namazu Beast Tribe Quests, which begin with "Something Fishy This Way Comes" from the Floundering Namazu in The Azim Steppe (X:17.5, Y:37.6) and progress their rank until "Disciples of Creation" is offered to them. This is the last quest in the chain, and alongside the Namazu Bell reward, your rank with this tribe will increase to Bloodsworn.

3 The Burdens We Bear

Final Fantasy 14 Haurchefant Emote

For a sidequest that offers a rollercoaster of emotion, as well as the awesome Haurchefant emote as a reward, you'll want to complete "The Burdens We Bear", given by Slowfix in Idyllshire (X:7.6, Y:6.6).

To be able to start this quest, you must have first completed the "Heroes of the Hour" Heavensward main scenario quest and progressed through the sidequest chain beginning with "The Paths We Walk", which is given by the House Fortemps Manservant (X:6, Y:6) in House Fortemps in Ishgard.

To be able to start this quest, you must have completed the "The Ultimate Weapon" main scenario quest, as well as the previous quests in this specific chain, beginning with "Of Errant Epistles" by Klynthota in Mor Dhona (X:30.5, Y:13.7). This quest chain is rather long, but there are other noteworthy rewards, such as the Star-spangled Subligar item.

1 Hildibrand Quest Chain

Final Fantasy 14 Hildibrand

The Hildibrand Quest chain is arguably the best in the game to get you a whole bunch of awesome rewards, including the Manderville Dance emote, Wind-up Gentlemen minion, Manderville Coatee and Bottoms gear, Most Gentlemanly emote, Gigi minion, and Manderville Mambo emote. Additionally, the storyline for this chain is hilarious and so it's doubly worth completing.

The first quest in this chain is "The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen" given by Wymond in Ul'dah, at the Steps of Nald (X:9.9, Y:8.7). Players must first have completed the main scenario quest "The Ultimate Weapon" in order to begin this quest. Square Enix has extended the Hildibrand questline twice already, with there now being three quest arcs including the original, so it's possible more will be added in the future.
