The window of time for lapsed Final Fantasy XIV players to return for free is closing, as the 192 Hours Free Login Campaign is due to end in a week.

As an MMO, Final Fantasy XIV receives periodic content updates that add new quests, items, and story scenes. The most dedicated players will quickly complete the new content updates, but they can find other ways to entertain themselves in Eorzea. There are many fans who periodically return to the game whenever it receives an expansion and then put it down for a while, enjoying the game in bursts.

Square Enix has been running a Free Login Campaign that gives lapsed players eight days of free time in Final Fantasy XIV since April. Those who wish to experience the campaign only have a week left to try it out, as it's due to end on May 17.

There are some requirements for being able to claim this free time. In order to be part of the campaign, players need to have purchased and registered a copy of Final Fantasy XIV and all of their accounts must have been inactive for thirty days. If fans meet these requirements, will be given eight days of free play time (or until the campaign ends).

Square Enix has been running a Stay At Home And Play campaign, which has led to the company giving away games, as well as recently selling a bundle of fifty Eidos titles for under forty dollars on Steam. The self-isolation period has left people with a lot of time on their hands and they have one more week to visit Eorzea for free, assuming that they haven't been to the realm in a while.
