There's a metric ton of content available to participate in throughout the ever-expanding world of Final Fantasy 14, many of which reward you with currency, items, and other goodies for going out of your way to do them. One of the oldest, quickest ways to earn some Gil, EXP, and obtain items is by carrying out Guildleves.

Guildleves have been around since A Realm Reborn and have been prevalent in every expansion since, making them an excellent source of experience for newcomers or alt-jobs. Guildleves also covers every discipline, allowing you to focus on Crafting, Gathering, and Combat Levequests to gain experience and rewards for those specific classes and jobs.

Overview

Crafting in Final Fantasy 14

Guildleves, also known as Levequests, are quick and repeatable instances that reward you with experience, Gil, and other goodies upon completion. However, to participate in Guildleves, you must first possess enough Leve Allowance. You will naturally gain three Leve Allowance after twelve hours (earth time) and will max out once reaching 100 Leve Allowance.

Levequests are acquired by speaking to a Levemete and accepting a quest from one of the three types (Battlecraft, Fieldcraft, and Tradecraft). After choosing your Levequest, it will be viewable and initiated from your journal. Once you are in the area of the Guildleve, you will have to open your journal and start the quest from there.

Guildleve Types

As touched on already, there are many different types of Levequests for you to tackle, allowing you to earn experience for specific jobs, get extra Gil, and even earn Grand Company Seals. We will briefly go over each type of Guildleve below!

  • Battlecraft Leves: Combat-related Leves for Disciples of War and Magic jobs. These Leves have you participate in exterminating targets, escorting missions, and investigations. When selecting Battlecraft Leves, you can choose a difficulty. The harder the difficulty, the better the EXP, Gil, and reward payout.
  • Fieldcraft Leves: Gathering-related Leves for Disciples of the Land jobs. You will have to gather specific materials or visit specific locations within a set amount of time to complete the Leves.
  • Tradecraft Leves: Crafting-related Leves for Disciples of the Hand jobs. Unlike the Fieldcraft Leves, there is no time limit for Tradecraft Leves. You will have to craft specific items and then deliver them to your clients. If the item you turn in is High-Quality, you will receive a 100 percent bonus to your EXP payout.
  • Temple Leves: Temple Leves are slightly harder Guildleves that offer greater rewards in 3.0 zones. You can take on Battlecraft, Fieldcraft, and Tradecraft Temple Leves for larger-scale Levequests. However, Temple Leves cost ten times more Leve Allowance than standard Leves but offer a five percent greater EXP, Gil, and reward payout.
  • Grand Company Leves: Grand Company Leves allow you to earn Grand Company Seals and EXP by doing various combat missions. No matter your Grand Company of choice, you can do Leves for any of the three Grand Companies. However, your Seal and EXP payout will be much greater if you complete Grand Company Leves for your assigned Grand Company.

Unlocking Guildleves

While Guildleves are accessible relatively early on, they still have a few prerequisites you need to meet before you can take them on. Fortunately, these prerequisites aren't too time-consuming or challenging, and you should be able to complete them rather swiftly.

First, you will have to be at least Level 10 in any Disciple of War or Magic. Next, you will have to advance past a specific part of the MSQ before taking on the Levequest sub-quest. The MSQ required is different for each starting city, so follow whichever one you need below!

After meeting the above requirements, you can finally pick up your Guildleve quest in your starting city. As mentioned before, you will need to be Level 10 to accept and complete this quest. You can find the quest giver, quest name, and location for each starting city's Levequest below.

Completing one of the above Guildleve quests will unlock Levequests for every starting city (and their surrounding areas) up to Level 10. To participate in higher-leveled Levequests, you will have to head to different camps with a Disciple of War/Magic that meets the level requirement and complete their quest. Completing the camp's Guildleve quest will unlock every Guildleve for said camp. You can find the locations of every camp and Levemete below, along with their level requirement below!

There are many Levemetes to find in Final Fantasy 14 as they span across every expansion. Some require you to complete specific missions before accessing their Levequests, making it hard to grasp what you are supposed to do for each of them. As a result, we will list every Levemete, their Guildleve level, and any prerequisites they have to make things less confusing and convoluted.

Grand Company Leves

In addition to the more standard Guildleves, you can also take up Grand Company Leves. Grand Company Leves are combat-focused instances that are an excellent source of earning Grand Company Seals and experience. While you can do Levequests for any of the three Grand Companies, we recommend doing ones for your Grand Company as the Seal and EXP payout increases. For locations of every Grand Company Levequest, refer to the chart below!
