Dungeon Walkthrough

The layout for this dungeon is pretty straightforward. As you progress through the battlefield, notable characters like Ken-E-Senna, Pipin, and Lyse will join the fight. Take advantage of their attacks as you group trash mobs together.

Later in the dungeon, before the final boss, you will encounter the Schola Colossus Rubricatus. This Magitek Colossus enemy will use a room-wide AoE attack that can only be avoided by entering the protective bubble that Kan-E-Senna creates. Then, wait for Lyse to Limit Break the Colossus, destroying it and allowing you to continue to the final boss.

Mark III-B Magitek Colossus

Attack Name

Type

Jarring Blow

Tankbuster

Deals damage to the Tank. Use defensive cooldowns as necessary to mitigate this damage.

Wild Fire Beam

AoE Markers

Targets all players with a circle AoE. Spread out to avoid overlapping this with other players.

magitek colossus using magitek slash to burn the arena ground

Magitek Slash

AoE

The boss will move to the center of the arena and begin charging a spinning AoE attack. The Colossus will first target a cone to its front, dealing damage and setting the ground on fire. Then, it will turn to its left or right, depending on the directional arrow circling around the boss, and repeat this attack. The Colossus will repeat this series of actions until it has rotated all the way back to the start.

  • To avoid this attack, stand behind the boss during each slash, and move as necessary to avoid the next one when the boss turns.
  • Later in the fight, the Magitek Colossus will use Magitek Slash twice in a row. Prepare to dodge another set of attacks after the first as the fight progresses.

Exhaust

AoE

Targets a random player and begins charging a long line AoE in their direction. Move out of the AoE indicator to avoid.

Ceruleum Vent

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage to all party members. Use AoE heals to recover the party's health.

Magitek Ray

Stack Marker

Targets a random player with a stack marker. Group up on the affected player to spread out the damage of this attack.

The Magitek Colossus will repeat these attacks until it is defeated. Watch carefully during Magitek Slash to determine which direction the boss will turn in and move accordingly to avoid all instances of its slash and subsequent burning ground.

Prometheus

prometheus, second boss of ghimlyt dark dungeon

The second boss of the Ghimlyt Dark is Prometheus. This Magitek tank will use the following attacks and mechanics.

Attack Name

Type

Details

Nitrospin

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage to all party members and covers the edge of the arena in a persistent fire. Use AoE heals to recover and avoid standing in the edge of the arena as the fight continues.

Oil Shower

AoE

Deals damage in a large area to the back and sides of Prometheus. Move in front of the boss to avoid.

Needle Gun

AoE

A large frontal cone AoE. Move to the sides or behind the boss to avoid.

prometheus using burrow to move into arena walls and heat to fire a blast across the arena

Burrow and Heat

AoE/Special

Prometheus will dig away and move into the sides of the surrounding mountain walls. Then, a glowing area will appear on the walls, indicating that the boss will emerge from the wall and fire a beam in a straight line. To avoid this attack, determine where the boss is going to emerge from and move to the left or right side of that area.

Unbreakable Cermet Drill

Tankbuster

Deals high damage to the Tank. Use defensive abilities as necessary.

Freezing Missile

Proximity AoE

After disappearing for Burrow and Heat, the boss will target four corners of the arena with proximity AoEs, forcing you to move to the center of the arena to reduce damage taken. Soon after, the boss will emerge from the wall and fire a beam across the arena. While stacking in the center of the arena for the proximity AoEs, determine where the boss will emerge from and prepare to move accordingly to avoid its beam attack.

Prometheus will repeat these attacks until it is defeated. Watch carefully during Burrow and Heat to determine where the boss will emerge from, as this attack can deal high damage.

Annia Quo Soranus & Julia Quo Soranus

annia and julia, final boss of the ghimlyt dark dungeon

The final bosses of the Ghimlyt Dark are Annia and Julia quo Soranus. When the fight begins, whichever sister is targeted first will be the one you fight directly, while the other sister supports from the side.

Then, when they reach 0.1 percent health, the sisters will swap, and the previously defeated sister will move to the side for support. There's a lot to this fight, so pay close attention to each of the boss's attacks, which we've detailed below.

Annia

annia using order to bombard to deploy aoes over the arena

Annia will use the following attacks throughout the fight.

Attack Name

Type

Details

Delta Trance

Tankbuster

Deals high damage to the Tank. Use defensive cooldowns as necessary.

Order to Bombard

AoE

Creates three large circle AoEs. This attack will occur while Julia casts Crossbones from the edge of the arena, causing you to be knocked back before the circle AoEs go off. To avoid being knocked into the AoEs, move near the opposite edge of the arena from where Julia is casting Crossbones. This will allow you to be knocked into the wall of the arena instead.

Angry Salamander

AoE

Targets a random player with a line AoE. Annia will use this immediately after Order to Bombard, so be ready to dodge this line AoE after being knocked back from Crossbones.

Stunning Sweep

AoE

Annia will leap toward a random player and begin charging a point-blank AoE attack at their location. Quickly move outside the AoE indicator to avoid.

Julia

julia using commence air strike to create ceruleum tanks around the arena

Julia will use the following attacks throughout the fight.

Attack Name

Type

Details

Innocence

Taknbuster

Deals damage to the Tank. Use defensive cooldowns as necessary.

Commence Air Strike

Special

Ceruleum Tanks will drop onto the arena, and Julia will use Roundhouse Kick to knock them into a circle pattern. Then, Julia will target one of the Ceruleum Tanks with Heirsbane, setting off a chain reaction of explosions. The Ceruleum Tanks will explode in a sequence, and can be avoided by being near the center of the arena.

Crossbones

AoE

Targets all players with a following line AoE that will deal damage and knock back. Julia will use this attack from the edge while Annia uses Order to Bombard.

Heirsbane

Special

Targets a random player before dealing unavoidable damage to them. The Healer should be prepared to recover the targeted player's health.

The Order

AoE

While on the edge of the arena, Julia will create four line AoEs that will fire across the arena at various angles, intersecting in the center. Move out of the AoE indicators to avoid.

  • Covering Fire: After either of the sisters is defeated, Covering Fire will additionally occur during The Order. This attack will target all players with AoE markers. Spread out to avoid overlapping with other players.

Both

julia and annia using crosshatch to bounce crossbones aoe across the arena

These attacks are used by both Annia and Julia, either from off-field or directly.

Attack Name

Type

Details

Artificial Plasma

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage to all party members. Use AoE heals to recover.

Crosshatch

AoE

When a sister is defeated, they will both enter the arena and cast Crosshatch. This attack is a series of line AoEs, indicated by a thin line that moves across the arena. Then, the sisters will move back and forth, bouncing a Crossbones attack along the indicator. Find a safe spot between the line AoEs, usually near the edges of the arena, and stay there for the duration of this attack.

  • During the second use of Crosshatch, all party members will be marked with the AoE marker of Covering Fire. Spread out while avoiding the Crosshatch AoE lines.

Imperial Authority

Special

After both sisters have been defeated and they have used Crosshatch for the second time, they will regain 20 percent of their health and begin long-casting Imperial Authority, which will deal lethal damage to all party members. To avoid this, defeat both sisters before the cast is finished.

After defeating both Annia and Julia and stopping Imperial Authority, the Ghimlyt Dark will be complete.
