Things are getting festive in Eorzea as the Starlight Celebration has returned to Final Fantasy 14. It's time to get into the holiday spirit and earn yourself a gorgeous new Starlight Steed mount and Illuminated Tree furnishing in the process.
The event runs from today until December 31, 2022 at 6:59 am PST/ 14:49 GMT. The seasonal quests cannot be completed after this time, so make sure you've got everything wrapped up by then. Here's everything you need to know about the event.
'Reindeer Fame' Seasonal Quest Walkthrough
To get started with this year's Starlight Celebration, head to Old Gridania and speak to Amh Gartanjy at (X:10:2, Y:9.4) to collect the quest. You must be Level 15 or above to begin this quest.
Your first task is to gather the children, so speak to the following NPCs:
- Bright-eyed Boy - Old Gridania (X:14.0, Y:9.0)
- Cautious Child - Old Gridania (X:13.4, Y:6.6)
- Lively Lad - Old Gridania (X:12.4, Y:6.1)
Go to (X:10.5, Y:5.9) in Old Gridania and speak to Laurenssen for a cutscene. Afterward, interact with the Destination point nearby.
Head to (X:4.8, Y:7.4) in Old Gridania to find Laurenssen again and speak with him. Choose whichever response you like.
After he runs off, go to (X:7.0, Y:8.0) in Old Gridania to find Laurenssen again and speak with him
This completes the first seasonal quest, but you'll notice you haven't unlocked your coveted mount yet! It's time to do the next quest!
'The Ghost Of Starlight Present' Seasonal Quest Walkthrough
Speak with Laurenssen at (X:7.0, Y:8.0) in Old Gridania to begin the next quest, 'The Ghost of Starlight Present'. Afterward, use the /soothe emote on him.
It's time to gather information on Blitzen, so speak to the following NPCs:
- Happy Holidaymaker - Old Gridania (X:8.7, Y:8.4)
- Charmed Citizen - Old Gridania (X:10.0, Y:8.7)
- Frost Fanatic - Old Gridania (X:11.5, Y:9.4)
Head to New Gridania, and you can find Blitzen at (X:11.5, Y:12.1). Choose whichever answer you want in the following cutscene.
Go to (X:12.4, Y:11.8) in New Gridania and speak to the Tearful Tot.
Return to Old Gridania and speak to Amh Gartanjy at (X:10:2, Y:9.4) to complete the quest.
This will earn you the Starlight Steed Horn and unlock the 'Make it Reindeer' achievement.
After completing the event, you can speak to Laurenssen and accompany him and Blitzen around Gridania, speaking with the children if you wish to.
How To Get The Illuminated Tree
Unlike the mount, you don't have to complete any quest to get the new Illuminated Tree furnishing. Simply speak to the Starlight Supplier NPC in Old Gridania at (X:10.6, Y:8.7), and you can purchase it there for 5,000 gil.
