We’re still more than half a year away from the release of Final Fantasy 16, but we already know quite a bit about the world of Valisthea thanks to three big trailers and an extensive series of screenshots. Plus, Square Enix has already released a vintage map of Valisthea full of easily identifiable landmarks that practically put us in Final Fantasy 16 already.

Despite having the aesthetic of an ancient treasure map, it’s got enough detail that FF16 fans have already started filling it in with the information we already know about Valisthea. Much of that came from the Ambition trailer, which provided both faces and names to the five great nations spread between the two continents.

Reddit user AndSpaceY (with a nod to Games Radar) is compiling the insights of the Final Fantasy 16 subreddit to create an official map, attaching mysterious details from the trailers to landmarks on the map. There’s the obvious stuff, like the two continents (Content of Ash and Continent of Storm) and the likely locations of the five countries: Grand Duchy of Rosaria, the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, the Dhalmekian Republic, the Iron Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Waloed.

The Ambition trailer also described those countries in relation to landmarks such as the Drake’s Head glacier in the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, the Drake's Spine in the Kingdom of Waloed, and likely the Drake's Breath in the Iron Kingdon. Other screenshots identify the likely cities of Rosalith, Kanvir, Oriflamme, and Stomhr. And there’s a great crater in between the two continents that you can see in an official screenshot on the Final Fantasy 16 website.

Check out the Reddit post above to see the full map, and expect it to be updated as more trailers and screenshots are released, such as this new gif that confirms the existence of Moogles in Valisthea.
