Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to PC was primarily done with the intention of bringing in new players. However, judging by the ridiculous explosion of mods just days after launch, it looks like a lot of those picking it up are fans who have already enjoyed the game on PlayStation. We were just waiting for the chance to mod the hell out of it.

If you're one of those fans, then this is the mod for you. Rinnegrid over on Nexus Mods has enabled chapter select for all players, so you can start the game from wherever you want, skipping any missions you've done a million times before already.

For obvious reasons, chapter select usually only becomes available once you've beaten the game already. This can be a bit of a pain if you're a returning player trying out the Remake on a new platform, as it means going over story beats and side quests you've already done. And damn, if you want an optimal playthrough, you really can't afford to skip those side quests. Thanks to Rinnegrid you can now just drop in wherever you want, letting you re-experience the best bits of the game (obviously Wall Market) without being bogged down with grinding and chores for NPCs.

This is far from the only way to jazz up your latest Remake playthrough though. Even before the PC port turns a month old, we already have plenty of joke mods to get through, such as a way to turn the game into an episode of JoJo's Bizzare Adventure. And if that's not enough to keep you going, you can also turn Sephiroth into Ronald McDonald, because why not? The mod releases absolutely show no sign of slowing down, so it's always worth checking in over on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Nexus Mods page to see what the community had added recently.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out now, available on PS4, PS5 and PC.
