Final Fantasy 7 Remake made a fair amount of changes from how the story is told, including putting Sephiroth front and centre much earlier on. However, one thing that hasn't changed is his wild behaviour, as the fan favourite villain remains hellbent on messing with Cloud, and ruining his day no matter what.

But as we revisit the game for its PC port, maybe we're sick of looking at the same gothic mug over two decades on. If that's the case, you can now give the one winged angel a very fitting makeover: dressing him up as the absolute clown he is.

"Sephironald" is a beautiful creation courtesy of Nexus user Crandif, and transforms Sephiroth into the iconic McDonald's mascot. Not only does it give him a whole new circus-ready face, it also recolours his outfit to look like Ronald McDonald's. I mean, hey, there's some real grim sequences in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, why not liven them up a bit?

This is just one of the more eccentric mods that Final Fantasy fans have created since the game came to PC. It hasn't even been a month since launch, but we already have a way to replace all of Aerith's weapons with a chair, and even swap out Cloud's buster sword with Scarlet's entire character model. Oh, and you can also permanently keep Cloud in his Honey Bee Inn dress, which was rightly a top priority for modders.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and as of December 16, PC via the Epic Games Store. Word of warning, however, the most recent port hasn't been amazingly received across the board, with Digital Foundry going as far as to call it "the worst triple-A release". Our own lead features editor, Jade King, has no problem with it though, and even rated it 4.5 out of 5 stars. She did however add that it is quite a simple port, so mods may be the only real unique selling point here.
