Final Fantasy 7 Remake's Intermission DLC has been out for a little while now, and if you've been making your way through it slowly you've probably just come to the climax of the game, including all of those dazzling post-finale scenes teasing the next part the series.

Once you've gotten through it, it's time to clean up those remaining challenges and trophies, and one of those will be the Ultimate Weapon 2.0 trophy. If you've been cheeky and checked the trophy description, you'll see that to get this one, you'll need to beat the Pride And Joy Mk 0.5.

This is a tough fight, and you'll need to have a strong team before you fight it - but before even that, you'll need to have checked off a short list of other challenges. We're going to break down each task below. Here's what you need to do to unlock the Pride and Joy Mk 0.5 fight in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intermission:

  • Complete The Intermission DLC
  • Defeat The First Two Shinra Combat Simulator Challenges
  • Return To The Shinra Combat Simulator In Hard Mode

Complete The Intermission DLC

via GameSpot

The first thing you'll need to do is complete both chapters in Yuffie's Intermission DLC. We have guides for that, and the final clash between Nero and the team is an emotional climax to the short story.

Once you've completed the Intermission storyline, you'll have access to some brand new content.

Defeat The First Two Shinra Combat Simulator Challenges

You'll find the Shinra Combat Simulator early on in Intermission Chapter 2. You will need to defeat the challenges here, which will have you fighting against Bahamut, Ifrit, and Ramuh. Make sure you've unlocked the Ramuh summon from Chadley before you attempt these fights.

Once these fights are done, you'll only have one more to do - but it's not available in Normal mode.

Return To The Shinra Combat Simulator In Hard Mode

Now that you've finished the story once and cleared through the Shinra Combat Simulator challenges, it's time to fight against Pride and Joy Mk 0.5, but this Top Secrets fight is only available in the Shinra Combat Simulator during Hard Mode.

Hard Mode restricts item usage - entirely - and is generally a much tougher experience, so make sure your party is well equipped before you finally decide to go up against this challenging fight. Once you've won, you'll unlock the Ultimate Weapon 2.0 trophy - though that really is easier said than done.
