Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrade is now available on Steam. The Game combines both the base game and the Episode Intermission DLC, which tells the story of Yuffie Kisaragi before teaming up with Cloud Strike to take down Shinra Corp. It also includes the new summons, cosmetics, weapons, and armor that arrived with the DLC, and appears to have the same fidelity upgrades that made for current-gen consoles (provided you have a computer powerful enough to run at those higher resolutions, of course).
And as promised during the Final Fantasy 7 anniversary stream, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is also verified for the Steam Deck. You can see the little green checkmark in the Steam Deck Compatibility section of the Steam store page.
This won't be the last you hear from Final Fantasy 7 on Steam. Square Enix has confirmed that Remake will be getting two sequels, first called Rebirth and second currently going unnamed at the moment. Creative director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that Rebirth and the unnamed third game will be made for new audiences to the franchise just like Remake was. He also confirmed that development "has been progressing rapidly" on Rebirth, and he's even gotten started on the final part of the trilogy, so maybe Steam players won't have to wait two years before getting their hands on the sequels.
Still not enough Final Fantasy 7 for you? The PSP's Crisis Core is also getting the remake treatment, launching across all major consoles and PC later this winter. Crisis Core was the 2007 prequel game that starred Zack Fair, a figure central to Cloud Strife's character but is only mentioned in flashbacks in Final Fantasy 7. Instead of a classic RPG, however, Crisis Core was pure action, and it looks like the remake will be too.
We don't have a specific launch date for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 - Reunion, but we'll be sure to provide updates as we get 'em.
