Final Fantasy games aren't usually 50-plus-hour experiences that expect you to grind your way through harder encounters. As far as JRPGs go, they tend to be on the shorter side. The Pixel Remaster series is no different, and even alleviates some of the issues of the earlier games with toggleable encounter settings, experience, and gil boosters.
If you're just getting into the full Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster bundle, and you're wondering how long each game will take to beat, we've got you covered. Below, you can check how long it takes to beat Final Fantasy 1 through 6, as well as how long it takes to 100 percent complete them.
All time estimates are taken from HowLongToBeat.com.
Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster should take around 9.5 hours to beat the main story, and around 11 hours to 100 percent complete the game. If you want to fully level your party to level 99, that may tack on a few extra hours or so.
The first Final Fantasy doesn't have the most amount of side content, leading to its lower time to complete. Plus, with the Pixel Remaster settings, like disabling random encounters, your time to beat may be much lower, depending on how often you use these settings.
Final Fantasy 2
Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster should take around 13 hours to beat the main story, and around 17.5 hours to fully 100 percent complete. This includes getting all the achievements or PlayStation Trophies.
Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster has a decent bit more content than the first game, and its unique leveling system may take a bit more time to get used to. And, if you want, you can completely exploit this system early on to make the rest of the game much easier, or grind out gear and spell levels later on, which may change your personal time to beat.
Final Fantasy 3
Final Fantasy 3 Pixel Remaster should take around 11.5 hours to beat the main story, and around 13 hours to beat 100 percent of the game, including getting all the achievements/Trophies.
There are a few optional dungeons to explore in Final Fantasy 3, which you will see if you plan on fully completing the game. As with the other Pixel Remasters, using any of the optional settings like disabling encounters or boosting experience gain will increase or decrease the time it takes to beat the game.
Final Fantasy 4
Final Fantasy 4 Pixel Remaster should take around 15 hours to beat the main story, and around 18 hours to complete 100 percent.
Like most Final Fantasy games, there is missable content throughout the game that you can miss out on as you progress through the story. In this case, if you're trying to fully complete the game, you may have to replay parts of the story again, which can add to your overall playtime.
Final Fantasy 5
Final Fantasy 5 Pixel Remaster should take around 25 hours to beat the main story, and around 52 hours to fully complete the game, obtaining all the achievements or Trophies.
Final Fantasy 5 is the second-longest game in the Pixel Remaster bundle, and perfects the job-changing system introduced in Final Fantasy 3. As always, the time it takes to beat and fully complete will vary depending on how often you use the Pixel Remaster boost settings.
Final Fantasy 6
Final Fantasy 6 Pixel Remaster should take around 30 hours to beat the main story, and around 62 hours to fully complete all of its side content and get all the achievements/Trophies.
Final Fantasy 6's story is still considered one of the best, even decades later. With a longer story in general and tons of side content, this is the longest Final Fantasy game in the Pixel Remaster bundle. Using the Pixel Remaster boosts, you may take less or more time to beat this game.
