Everyone and their mom has been thoroughly impressed by Final Fantasy VII Remake's graphics and gameplay, but no one was prepared for the incredible cinematography. Whatever fans currently think of the retake on the storyline, there's no denying the cinematics are epic and then some.

What makes the cinematography so great is that it's not limited to dialogue and exposition. A lot of the cutscenes include battle scenes that get the player excited for the fight that is sure to come. Roche steals the show with his introduction and, despite being unfamiliar, is well-received because his cutscenes are so good. When he is on the screen, it's not boring; motorcycles are flying all over the place, shots are madly flying across the screen, and swords are swinging in frantic attempts to cut down the enemy.

The much anticipated crossdressing scene was one of the most cinematic scenes to be sure and one of the most enjoyable. Though outlandish and over-the-top, it fits perfectly into the game because it's just so beautiful. It felt like a scene from a movie and does absolute justice to the original game. Many were nervous about the crossdressing scene but thanks to the well balanced and amazing cinematography, it worked out just fine.

Instead of the turn-based battle-system fans are familiar with, the action-packed battle-system of Final Fantasy VII Remake keeps things energetic. Fans weren't expecting beautiful cut-scenes to be placed in the middle of battles, but it isn't jarring; instead, these cutscenes continue the progression of the fight seamlessly. Even more exciting is that the gameplay is just as fluid and epic as cutscenes, which is a real treat for long time fans.

The cinematography of the game is gold and fans will not be disappointed. Advent Children was beautiful for its time, and fans are now excited to see their favorite characters once again re-imaged. Final Fantasy VII Remake goes above and beyond Advent Children, making the characters feel even more believable with fluid dialogue and gravity-defying action that is graceful and brutal both in gameplay and in cutscenes. Heres to hoping future Final Fantasy titles will be just as epic.
