Rinoa From Final Fantasy VIII Is Coming To Dissidia NT

The next DLC character coming to Final Fantasy Dissidia NT will be Rinoa from FF VIII, with her slingshot and spell attacks.

Square Enix has released a new trailer that has revealed the latest DLC character in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. The next addition to the cast will be Rinoa Heartily from Final Fantasy VIII, the leader of Forest Owls and the one true love of Squall Leonhart's.

Rinoa is a long-range fighter, who relies on her wrist-mounted slingshot (known as a Blaster Edge) to fire blasts of energy at the enemy, as well as spells and other special attacks.

Rinoa is joined in battle by her faithful dog, Angelo, who also appeared in many of her Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy VIII. Angelo takes part in a lot of Rinoa's attacks, as she can summon him into battle and fire him from her slingshot at the enemy.

Rinoa also has access to her second Limit Break from Final Fantasy VIII, which allows her to summon a set of angel wings. When this mode is activated, it gives Rinoa an access to a wider-range of magical spells and makes them deal more damage. This mode seems to slow her down and add lag to her dodges, meaning that there is a significant trade-off for the extra firepower.

The Rinoa trailer also showed off two of the costumes she will have in the game; the blue & black outfit that she wore throughout most of Final Fantasy VIII and the white dress that she wears during the SeeD inauguration.

Rinoa's appearance in the game was predicted by various leaks that have come out since the release of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, which also predicted the arrival of Locke from Final Fantasy VI and Vayne from Final Fantasy XII. These same leaks also predicted that Snow from Final Fantasy XIII, Yuna from Final Fantasy X, and Nag'molada from Final Fantasy XI will also be added to the game in the future.

Rinoa Heartily will be added to the arcade version of Dissidia NT on July 12th and will be coming to the console version of the game in late August.
