In Temtem, there are 164 creatures to tame and train. Each Temtem has a unique design and some are rarer than others. While exploring, if you are extremely lucky, you may encounter a Luma Temtem. These alternate versions have different colors, emit bright particles when in battle, and always have three perfect SVs.

Collecting and showing off Luma Temtem is one of the game's many endgame activities, but they can be very difficult to get your hands on. Let's take a look at how to find Luma Temtem, and some of the best methods for doing so.

How To Find Luma Temtem

Finding Luma Temtem is completely random. At a base encounter rate of 1 in 7500, the chance of simply wandering into one while exploring is extremely low. Instead, there are several methods you can use to boost your chances of finding Lumas.

Saipark

Every week, two Temtems will be featured in the Saipark on Deniz. Every alternating week, these Temtems will have an increased chance to be in their Luma form, with a bonus of anywhere between times two and times eight. This will drastically cut down on the time spent searching for a Luma, but it will limit you to whichever two random Temtems are featured that week, and you will only be able to hunt for that Temtem in that week period.

Keep in mind that, to tame Temtems in the Saipark, you will need special Cards called Saicards. These can be purchased in bundles at the Saipark reception area, and will expire at the end of the week.

Overall, finding Luma Temtem in the Saipark is great if you want Lumas of any kind, and have time to spend when the Luma rate-up week is available.

Temtem Radars

The best way to increase your chances of finding Luma Temtem is through Temtem Radars. These items can be purchased with feathers on the Tamer's Paradise island. When purchasing a Radar, you can choose any Temtem to buy a Radar for.

When activating that Radar in a location where the Temtem can be found, you will begin a chain. Defeating or capturing the targeted Temtem will increase the chain, and thus increase the chance for it to appear as a Luma. Radar chain bonuses are detailed below.

Chain Length

Luma Bonus Rate

0-99

x1

100-199

x5

200-300

x10

At 300 encounters, the chain will be complete, and the radar will break. Your chain will also break if you run from the Temtem, if you capture or defeat a Temtem that you are not chaining, or if your party is defeated. Your chain won't break if you run back to a Temporium to heal, change out your squad, or close the game.

Compared to encountering Temtems normally, chaining through Radars will massively increase the chance of finding a Luma Temtem, and allows you to target a specific Temtem to hunt for. If you can spare the feathers, Radars are a great investment for Luma hunting.

Breeding

Finally, breeding Luma Temtems together will grant an increased chance for the offspring to also be Luma. If one parent is Luma, the chance for the offspring to be Luma is increased to 1 in 750, and if both parents are Luma, that chance is further increased to 1 in 75.

While this may seem like the best method for Luma hunting by far, keep in mind that breeding Temtems together will decrease their fertility, meaning each Temtem can only be bred a certain number of times before it can't breed anymore. Still, if you have two Luma Temtems that are compatible to breed, this can be a great way to get more and sell them for a ton of Pansuns.
