The main series games of the Fire Emblem franchise are known to have a Support feature where two characters engage in a conversation outside of battle. This not only helps to strengthen the pair during combat but also allows the player to get to know more about each character's personality, interests, and backstory.

With the academy and monastery setting of Three Houses, there are plenty of students, faculty, and knights to get to know and form bonds with through countless support conversations. Some of these characters are easy to adore and get along with, while others might be more of an acquired taste.

10 Can't Help But Love: Dorothea

At first glance, Dorothea is a very charming and playful student who stands out with her good looks. However, there's so much more to her than just a pretty face.

After being thrown away by her noble father for not bearing a Crest, Dorothea lived on the streets of the Empire until she made her big break as a songstress of the Opera Company. Even then, she understood that she needed to learn proper swordsmanship and stick up for herself against high-class nobles such as Lorenz and Ferdinand.

9 Doesn't Make It Easy: Gilbert

Gilbert is Annette's father, though he doesn't really act like it. After abandoning his family in the aftermath of the Tragedy of Duscur, Gilbert went on to serve the Archbishop as one of the Knights of Seiros without any intention of reuniting with Annette.

In his support conversations with his daughter, Gilbert is confronted by Annette, who just wants answers and a proper apology for her mother. If it weren't for Annette's persistence, stubborn Gilbert would not have even bothered making amends with his daughter or wife.

8 Can't Help But Love: Sylvain

On the surface, Sylvain is a stereotypical ladies man who likes to have fun. And while his pick-up lines are quite corny, he is ironically one of the characters who exceeded expectations of the entire fandom.

Revealed in his support conversation with Byleth, the ladies man actually hates ladies. This is due to the fact that most women only seem to be interested in him for his nobility and Crest. In addition, he points out the faults in the Crest system as seen in his personal experience with his Crestless brother, Miklan.

7 Doesn't Make It Easy: Hilda

If there's one character who can be considered lazy, it's Hilda. She hates doing chores and fighting on the battlefield, despite being a strong asset to the team. At the same time, she certainly isn't opposed to sweet-talking others into doing the hard work for her.

The interesting thing is that Hilda is shameless about pushing her responsibilities onto others. In fact, many of her classmates like Lysithea, Ferdinand, and Sylvain see right through her, and yet they still let her continue to be lazy.

6 Can't Help But Love: Felix

It's no secret that Felix likes to keep a distance from others and insult anyone named Dimitri. Still, many of his support conversations show a softer side to him that fans adore.

With Annette, Felix builds a habit of visiting her while she's singing, which leaves her feeling very self-conscious until he finally admits that he's captivated by her sweet voice. Additionally, Felix shows how much his childhood friendship and promise means to him in his support with Sylvain.

5 Doesn't Make It Easy: Cyril

Cyril is the young Amyran orphan whom Rhea provided a home for at Garreg Mach. Because of Rhea's compassion, Cyril essentially has a one-track mind that revolves around working to help out the Archbishop.

This also means that Cyril has a habit of closing himself off from anyone who obstructs his work efforts. A lot of his support conversations start with him rudely telling the other character to quit bothering him, which never fails to leave a bad impression.

4 Can't Help But Love: Annette

In contrast to her father, Annette is one of the sweetest and most down-to-earth characters in the game. While she's hardworking and cheerful, she's also known for her clumsy and easily flustered nature, all of which adds to her charm.

On multiple occasions, Annette has won over the hearts of Felix, Claude, and fans with her silly songs. As embarrassed as it makes Annette when others catch her singing, she agrees to keep it up as long as it makes her friends happy.

3 Doesn't Make It Easy: Hubert

Without needing to say a word, Hubert has a very dark and ominous vibe to him. He's so secretive that it's practically impossible to get to know anything about him unless you're playing the Black Eagles route.

If the Black Eagles route is played, Hubert's supports will show that he's not super close with any of his peers aside from Edelgard. And whether it's intentional or not, his allegiance to Edelgard is often what puts a wedge in his relationships with everyone else.

2 Can't Help But Love: Petra

Petra is one of few foreign characters who come from outside of Fodlan, but she doesn't let that stop her from building close relationships at the Officers Academy.

In fact, her love of her homeland, Brigid, and genuine curiosity of Fodlan culture are what make her character so endearing. Her cutest moments include when she gets dizzy from trying on Ignatz's glasses, learns "commoner techniques" from Ashe, and shares the significance of her tattoos with Byleth.

1 Doesn't Make It Easy: Lorenz

As a noble himself, Lorenz has a strong sense of what nobility should look like. He therefore makes an effort to present himself with high class and expects everyone else to do the same.

This often causes him to come off as snobby toward his peers, including Claude. While Claude has more of a laidback mindset with his noble position, Lorenz only criticizes his leadership and wishes he would take his position more seriously.
