It's crossovers upon even more crossovers! The latest upcoming Fire Emblem Heroes update will see the addition of new characters from Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, according to an official trailer from Nintendo. That's right - get ready for five new modern-day idol characters from Tokyo Mirage to infiltrate the medieval fantasy world that is Fire Emblem Heroes. Hey, anything's possible!

Nintendo's new trailer for the upcoming "A Star Is Born" banner showcased the characters that will be included in this Fire Emblem Heroes x Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore crossover event. While the new units are all from Tokyo Mirage, they will each be accompanied by a different Fire Emblem character.

The four new characters that can be summoned include budding actor Eleonora Yumizura (with Virion from Fire Emblem: Awakening), pop star idol Kiria Kurono (with Tharja from Fire Emblem: Awakening), kawaii girl Tsubasa Oribe (with Caeda from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light), and the hilariously named "Microwave Idol" Mamori Minamoto (with Draug from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light). Each character will be at five-stars for the lucky players who are able to successfully summon them.

The new characters will also bring an additional paralogue story chapter with them. The update is set to go live on January 19, 23:00 PT and January 20 at 02:00 ET and 08:00 BST.

And for those who are upset and confused regarding the noticeable absence of Tokyo Mirage protagonist Itsuki, have no fear. Fire Emblem Heroes players will have the opportunity to earn him as a playable unit through playing an upcoming Tempest Trials+, which will go live beginning January 21.

This is just the latest addition in Fire Emblem Heroes seemingly unending supply of new character updates. Just at the end of last month, right before New Year's Eve, players were gifted with four new characters just in time for the holiday which included an alt for fan-favorite character Anna.

Fire Emblem Heroes is available for free download for iOS and Android devices. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore will be available for the Nintendo Switch beginning January 17. The original Tokyo Mirage Sessions is currently available for the Wii U.
