Fire Emblem: Three Houses is an absolutely massive game that is filled to the brim with content. As a matter of fact, there are actually *spoiler* four different routes that you can play through, each with a completely different story. As such, there are many different things that you can miss on a single playthrough. Today, we're going over ten things that you can miss if you only play the game one. Let's get into it.

10 Everyone's Motivations

Look, we're just going to be getting into spoilers for this list, so be aware. Edelgard is treated as a villain for the majority of the story, but, if you check out different perspectives, you'll find that while she might have some flawed methods, she's doing her best to do what she believes is right. This goes for every character in the game, too. By playing every route, the things that people do, and their reasonings behind them, are explained.

9 All The Timeskip Looks

Do you really want to miss some of these men turning into full-on daddies? What about the girls that turn into absolute war icons? The post-timeskip looks are always so exciting to see when you first hit that point in the game, and you can't see them all if you don't play every route. Sure, not as important as some of the other reasons to play every route, but still important. Just look at Claude up there. Do you really want to miss that?

8 The Full Story

There's a lot to get through when it comes to the story of Three Houses, and every route has different endings and plot points that you'll never get to see if you don't play through it yourself. Some characters who live through the end won't make it in other endings. If you want to see all of these variants (and decide for yourself what the canon route really was), then playing through every story in the game is going to be your only option.

7 The Fate Of Certain Characters

As previously stated, the way that you play the game and the route that you choose to take determines who lives until the very end. However, that's not the only thing that can change depending on the route. Where people end up, allegiances that are forged, and the outcome of the war are all things that are very dependent on the route that you choose to take. These changes also come with some great cutscenes that are better watched than described.

6 How Relationships End Up

It's impossible to recruit every single unit that Three Houses has to offer on a single playthrough. As such, if you're wanting to see how every relationship grows in Three Houses, you're going to have to play a few times minimum.

Support conversations are great rewards for the work that one puts in in order to see their units slowly come together and form relationships. If you want to see them all, a minimum of four playthroughs is necessary. Honestly though, why even stop at four? Do seven, get real wild.

5 New Game Plus Elements

Every new game that you start after your first playthrough in Three Houses gives you access to new game plus elements. With these, you can mess with your student's appearances, spend renown to unlock different perks, and give your units items that mimic the abilities of crests.

You can use these elements to fly through the game for the story content if you'd like, or just make things a bit easier on yourself. Each playthrough is going to take 40 hours minimum, so a little help here and there doesn't hurt. Especially on maddening. Good lord.

4 The Paralogue Stories

Paralogues are new missions that you have access to (usually on a timed basis) that involve one or two characters. In these, the characters are at the center of some sort of conflict or issue that you must resolve with your students, usually in a very bloody fashion. All of these paralogues help to flesh out the story and some characters' personalities more, so missing out on any of them would just be a shame.

3 All The Epilogues

At the end of every route, you're presented with epilogues explaining what happens to everyone after the war (if you keep them alive). These are incredibly heartfelt and earnest, and seeing where the students you've been helping for so many hours end up is super rewarding.

The students and other units can also be paired up with each other depending on the circumstances, and, yes, those stories are even cuter than the solo ones. There are many different ways that these stories could go, so seeing all of the possible endings is a real treat that can only be done through finishing every route.

2 How Different Marriages Ended Up

Of course, you get the chance to marry someone at the end of each playthrough. You really can't go wrong with marrying anyone (except one that is very wrong), as all candidates have very sweet scenes to go along with them.

If you play the game to completion four times, that means you get to marry four different people you little cheater. Whether you decide to marry your students (as teachers do) or other units, make sure to make it count, as it isn't something you get to do all too often.

1 The Final Battles

All of the final battles in Three Houses are very different from one another and come with some fire music while they're at it. All of them feel very rightfully epic, so make sure to go for it and give them all a go. It's yet another reward for sinking so many hours into this game. You're looking at a minimum of 120 hours and that is if you GO QUICKLY.

How Nintendo decided that this game should be released at a mere $60 is a shocking decision. Thank God they did though. Anyways, you've now finished all four routes, right? You're allowed an hour-long cry now go ahead.
