If you've been living under a pile of rubble that you force your students to pick up week after week, you might not know that Fire Emblem: Three Houses is still absolutely the talk of the gaming community, and it's clear to see why. The game is completely massive. With just one playthrough of the game taking anywhere from 40-70 hours (and multiple playthroughs being needed to see all there is to offer), there's a lot to do. Today, we'll be going after ten things that you can do after beating the campaign. Let's jump right into the list.

10 New Game Plus

After completing the game for the first time, you can enter a new game plus on any path that you choose. New game plus comes with plenty of different benefits to play around with. You can change your students looks between the war and school portions of the game, spend renown to increase student proficiency in different skills and upgrade the saint statues (which will carry over between playthroughs). This allows you to speed up many processes in the game, and perhaps try things out in a different way than on the first playthrough.

9 Different Difficulties

Playing on casual vs classic in Three Houses changes the game completely. While normal and hard obviously change things a bit, playing on classic results in the permadeath of any character unlucky enough to run out of HP. So Flayn basically.

While it's obviously a bit of a challenge to play on a higher difficulty, it can also completely change your tactics in battle, which can make a repeat playthrough feel like an entirely new game.

8 Train Different Skills

Sometimes you just have to make Marianne a Great Knight and that's 100% valid. But maybe don't do that twice. Once you complete the game, going through with the same students and training them in different skills can also completely change up how you play the game. It can also maybe help you find a skill that the Leonies of the game can actually be useful in... but probably not.

7 A New Path

*spoilers incoming* In Three Houses, there are four different paths that you can take through the game (One route doesn't include those titular houses I suppose). Playing through a different route on your second playthrough completely changes things, especially in the second half of the game. If you really want to experience all of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you need to play through the title multiple times.

6 Make New Friends

Support conversations are a huge part of any Fire Emblem game, and getting to see the growth in relationship between Byleth and the students is incredibly rewarding. However, there are far too many support relationships to cultivate in just one playthrough. On your second go-around, focus on students that you maybe didn't have a relationship with the first time to see a different side of things.

5 Recruit Different Students

On that same note, recruiting different students than you did on your first romp is also a great way to switch up gameplay. Maybe recruit students that didn't catch your eye the first time around. Some can be far stronger than they appear. But not Ignatz. He is absolutely just as weak as he appears.

Either way, getting new students to fight with and grow your relationship with can make a new route feel even more different from the last. The more you recruit, the more options you'll have out on the battlefield, which can become hugely important as the game progresses.

4 Complete Quests

Quests are something that can be ignored very easily in the main story of Three Houses. For the most part that is. While there are a few quests that need to be completed early on in the game to open new areas, the majority can simply be skipped. However, completing these quests can often be pretty fun. They can also provide you with some worthwhile tools or just a few fun pieces of dialogue. If you skipped most quests during your first playthrough, maybe slow things down and complete more of them on your second time around. In the first half of the game, there is one Rhea quest that you absolutely do not want to miss.

3 Different Monastery Activities

While the sauna will forever be a locked mystery to us, there is still plenty to do in the monastery. As this game is so based around time, it is very easy to get locked into a very rigid schedule during your playthrough. On the second playthrough, maybe branch out a bit in your exploration time. Compete in a few more tournaments, do more gardening, eat more (that one is never a bad idea). However you decide to spend your time in the monastery, make sure that it's worthwhile.

2 Paralogue Battles

Paralogue Battles are battles that are only available when you choose to battle during your free time. When you choose this option, you get a story centered around one or two characters, and a battle to go along with it. Usually, this results in some sort of a prize at the end as well. Paralogue Battles allow you to knock out a few birds with one stone. You get to level up a bit, learn more about your students and be rewarded for it, all at the same time. Paralogue Battles are some of the best ways that you can choose to spend your time in the game, so certainly go for them when they do appear.

1 Romance Someone New

Marrying someone at the end of Three Houses is incredibly rewarding. Come on, it took like fifty hours of gameplay to get here, you've earned this. The ending cutscenes that you get with the person of your choice is always very special to see, so make sure to take the time to build your relationship with the student (the creepier route) or faculty member (better) of your choice. If you plan on playing every route available in the game, you can have four different spouses by the time that you're done.
