Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is not a game to be played through once. Any good spinoff from Fire Emblem: Three Houses would follow that game's love for compelling gamers to see the story from multiple perspectives, and that's exactly what's in store for you here.

But there's more to it than just following a different narrative path, isn't there? There ought to be some reward for making it through Three Hopes that first time. It should be helpful, and ideally, it can help save time so you're not grinding everything from scratch for those other two routes. The developers seem to agree because there's a lot to love with Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes' New Game Plus unlocks.

Updated August 17, 2022: We've added a video guide to this article that tells you everything that unlocks in New Game Plus for Three Hopes.

Everything That Carries Over Into New Game Plus

Fodlan Map Three Hopes

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is quite generous in this regard. An eyebrow-raising number of things carry over from file to file, essentially unlocking the privilege of not needing to deal with building yourself back up from scratch each time.

And what, precisely, are those things?

  • Your characters' current levels.
  • Your party's Support Ranks.
  • All upgrades made to War Camp Facilities — thank goodness.
  • Your stockpile of gold.
  • All the items in your storehouse.
  • The levels each character has achieved with their classes.

If retaining high character levels is too much trivialization for your tastes, you can disable that part when starting over. You can do the same for Support Ranks as well as War Camp Facility upgrades.

You will still need to go through the process of recruiting characters from scratch. Undoubtedly, this is done to prevent the game's plot from going too sideways. You'll also be given the opportunity to alter Shez's appearance and name.

Everything New Game Plus Unlocks

The New Game Plus rewards in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes can be roughly divided into a trio of categories. We'll take a look at each in turn.

Secret Characters

Would you care to recruit Rhea, Sothis, Arval, and even Gatekeeper? You're in luck. Through the power of New Game Plus, you can do exactly that. On your second file, you can unlock Rhea, Sothis, and Arval from a new tab in the Renown shop in Shez's quarters. You'll need to be on your third file for Gatekeeper, but then, there are three routes, right? No sense leaving one-third of the game untouched, especially not when the most glorious character in Fodlan awaits you.

Arval will not be available if you didn't recruit Byleth and Jeralt on your previous file. The good news is, should this happen to you, you can do so on your second playthrough and finally unlock Arval on your third.

Secret Weapons

If you were tired of the Renown shop selling some stat-boosting items and precious little else, now is your time to shine, because, in addition to purchasing characters for 60 points apiece, you can also purchase brand-new weapons as well.

  • Dark Creator Sword
  • Sublime Creator Sword
  • Ridill
  • Athame
  • Asclepius

As you would expect, each of these weapons means business.

And More...

Would you like to be able to skip around from chapter to chapter like some kind of old-school level select cheat code? The March Whistle, also purchasable through Renown, will let you do just that. You can also buy Experience Gems and Knowledge Gems, simplifying the amount of time it will take you to build your units to their peak potential.

All told, there's a lot to like about New Game Plus in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Go forth, enjoy the stories you've not yet witnessed, and do so in style with a superpowered Shez and some shiny trinkets to boot.
