Nintendo has announced Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, a second Fire Emblem Warriors game which this time takes place in the same world as Fire Emblem: Three Houses. As revealed in the reveal trailer below, the game is expected to launch on Nintendo Switch on June 24 later this year.

Like with most Musou-style games, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes pits players to use fast-paced combos to take down hundreds of enemies at a time. As the name implies, multiple characters from Fire Emblem: Three Houses are all playable, each with their own set of unique abilities and weapons.

Shortly after the Direct, Nintendo also announced that a limited edition of Fir Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will launch alongside the standard edition. The limited edition of the game will come with an artbook, a tapestry map of Fodlan, a set of five acrylic figures, a character postcard set, and a copy of the game. There was no indication as to whether there are limited copies or where to get this edition, but we likely get more news in the coming months.

While most Musuo games tend to lean a bit towards the gameplay side of things, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes looks to be heavily story-focused, possibly carrying on from where the story left off in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Developer Koei Tecmo did a similar thing with Persona 5 Strikers, a Musou spin-off of Persona 5.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes began what was a pretty solid Nintendo Direct for most people, with a bevvy of interesting announcements following Fire Emblem. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be getting a bunch of new remastered courses from across the Mario Kart franchise, the long-rumoured Chrono Cross remaster was revealed an includes a new soundtrack as well as text-adventure Radical Dreamers, and a new Mario Strikers game was also announced and will launch in June later this year.
