Rages Revenge has become the first player in Fortnite history to hit level 1000 in the space of just one season.

Fortnite celebrated its fourth anniversary earlier this year. It's wild to think Fortnite has only been around for four years considering how big a phenomenon it has become in that time. The game has crossed over with just about everything at this point from Marvel to Michael Jordan. Ariana Grande even has her own questline which is a sentence I never thought I would write.

Everything Epic has achieved via Fortnite, and firsts are still taking place in the game. A big one happened earlier this week and it had nothing to do with Epic. It was all thanks to YouTuber Rages Revenge. The Fortnite player became the first person in the game's history to reach level 1000 over the course of just one season.

The moment it happens is actually a little anti-climactic. Well, at least it is until all of Rages Revenge's teammates start celebrating around them. The goal wasn't achieved for the first time by completing a tricky quest or eliminating a rival. The XP that got Rages Revenge over the line came from opening an ammo box while with their teammates in the storm.

You can check out the moment yourselves in the video above. Rages Revenge ventures into the storm and opens up the ammo box at around the 14:25 mark. The streamer can then be joined by so many of their friends as they are playing together in Team Rumble. Team Rumble actually used to be the best mode for grinding XP in Fortnite as it was easier to complete quests. However, Epic changed Team Rumble up a little at the start of this season, seemingly in an attempt to stop that. Players who used it regularly were not happy about the changes.

Rages Revenge will now continue to push the limits of Fortnite's Battle Pass. As you can see in the video, there is a level 1001, and presumably levels after that. It takes a lot of XP to level up by that point. Two million between levels 1000 and 1001, so it'll take a while. There's still more than a month of season eight left though, so Rages Revenge might not be the only one who makes it to level 1000.
