The first trailer for the third season of The Mandalorian has just debuted at the Star Wars and Marvel presentation at D23, showcasing some of the adventures that Grogu and Din have in store now that the latter isn't a Mandalorian anymore.

Disney is currently hosting a Star Wars and Marvel-focused showcase at D23, giving us a better look at several announced projects, including Ashoka, Tales of the Jedi, Williow, Indiana Jones, and more. One show that everyone expected to be there was The Mandalorian, which is expected to start streaming February 2023.

Thankfully, not only did Disney showcase a trailer at D23, but it also shared it online immediately afterwards, giving everyone a chance to see what's next for Mando. It beings by showing Grogu and Din's first meeting, before showing them on some kind of boat together. We get to hear The Armourer speaking to Din, saying that he and Grogu are a "clan of two" now that he's no longer a Mandalorian.

As shots of the two adventuring across some surprisingly dark planets play, The Armourer explains that since Din removed his helmet to see Grogu at the end of the second season, he is now officially not a Mandalorian and has broken their creed. More footage is shown of various locations, but the highlight is getting to see a ton of Mandalorians drop from a ship and start fighting together, as one of them remarks to Grogu that his dad isn't the only one of them.

More shots of several returning characters from the series are shown, including Peli Motto and Greef Karga, as well as the surprise appearance of what is either Babu Frik, or another one of his species. Hell yes.

Surprisingly, despite showing quite a lot of new footage, there weren't any big reveals from the latest trailer, instead choosing to end as Mando and Grogu fly away together in his ship. It seems that we won't know the central plotline until closer to the show's release.
