The Five Nights At Freddy's game series has been revolutionary in the indie horror game industry, often pushing its own boundaries, whether through gameplay or complicated and complex lore. Most of the lore you can experience in the series comes through experiencing the different game endings.

Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach gives players a total of six possible endings to achieve, nearly doubling the amount of the other games (except Five Nights at Freddy's: Pizzeria Simulator). These endings are ranked on a star system depending on how difficult they are to obtain, ranging from one star to three stars.

Updated on June 8, 2023, by Tallis Spalding: Although Five Nights at Freddy's wasn't the most refined and polished game when it was launched for sale, the community still came together to power through the bugs, glitches, and absurdly frustrating "no save" mechanic to discover every ending that the game offered. With the movie releasing in October of 2023, it's worth taking another look at the endings of Five Nights at Freddy's to refamiliarize yourself with the lore, lest William Afton gets the better of all of us.

6 Bad Ending - One Star

The bad ending, Five Nights at Freddys (FNAF) Security Breach (SB), featuring gregory in a cardboard box with a missing persons newspaper blanket and vanny walking up to him

In order to get the bad ending, which is the easiest to obtain, you must simply survive until 06:00, and then, when Freddy asks, "Do you wish to stay?" you should choose to leave, and a cutscene will start. You will exit the Pizzaplex via the main doors, but although Gregory leaves in this ending, Glamrock Freddy has to stay behind.

After leaving the Pizzaplex, Gregory is exhausted and finds an alleyway where he goes to sleep in a cardboard box covered by a newspaper. The newspaper is shown to have the figures of all the missing children, presumably those that met their end at the Pizzaplex. However, this moment of freedom is short-lived as the shadow of Vanny is then seen approaching Gregory menacingly, insinuating his death.

This is, by far, the worst ending to the game as it is the only one in which Gregory does not survive and also because it is the one that you will get if you put the least effort into uncovering the dark secrets of the Pizzaplex.

5 Disassembled Ending - Two Stars

Five Nights At Freddys (FNAF) Security Breach (SB) secone ending, Featuring Glamrock Freddy's dying moments and reassuring Gregory as he cries

In order to obtain the Disassembled ending, prior to 06:00, you need to have completed the Fazer Blast mini-game and discovered Vanny's secret lair. After doing this, proceed through the rest of the game until the front doors are open.

When Freddy asks you, "Do you wish to stay?" you must choose the 'Vanny' option. The ending cutscene begins, and Gregory and Freddy will make their way to Vanny's lair; however, Freddy will be disassembled by S.T.A.F.F. bots under Vanny's control. Gregory then makes his way to her control room and orders the bots to disassemble Vanny. Gregory then goes to a dying Freddy, whose final words are, "Gregory, you are my superstar."

This ending is only slightly better than the Bad ending as, although Gregory does survive, Freddy and Vanny do not, and the Pizzaplex reopens next season. Additionally, the disassembling of Freddy and Vanny can be incredibly off-putting, especially when considering the fact that Vanny is not one of the animatronics but rather a person (Vanessa) in a suit.

4 Unmasked Ending - Two Stars

Five Nights At Freddy's (FNAF) Security Breach (SB), third ending, Glamrock Freddy and Vanny falling from the roof of the pizzaplex

To get the Unmasked ending, you must choose to stay after reaching 06:00 and then go to the Prize Counter, where you should find the Emergency Exit and choose the option to 'Leave' through it. This will trigger a cutscene that shows Freddy starting a fire in the Pizzaplex, followed by Gregory making his way to the roof via the exit you found.

On the roof, Vanny is waiting for Gregory and grabs him, but Freddy distracts her and flings her (along with himself) off the roof to save Gregory. Gregory rushes to the ground and removes Vanny's mask to reveal that it is actually Vanessa, the security guard, inside a suit while the Pizzaplex burns down.

It isn't a bad ending because Gregory survives, and the Pizzaplex burns down, but Freddy and Vanessa's deaths mean that it rests somewhere in the middle.

3 Good Ending - Two Stars

Five Nights At Freddy's (FNAF) Security Breach (SB) Good ending, featuring a van driving off into the sunset

To get the Good ending, you must obtain Level 7 Security Clearance before 06:00. When it hits 06:00, choose to 'Stay' when prompted by Freddy and then make your way together to the Loading Docks. Using your Security Clearance, go through the 'Exit to Docks' door and choose the option to 'Leave' at the exit beyond this.

A cutscene will start, showing Freddy and Gregory escaping in a van together. Freddy runs out of power, but Gregory is able to use the van battery to recharge his battery, and they drive off into the sunset together. This simple ending allows for both Gregory and Freddy to live; however, things remain unresolved with Vanny and the Pizzaplex.

Although the game ends positively, the secret behind the disappearances is left undiscovered, making this another relatively mid-tier ending.

2 True Ending- Two Stars

Five Nights At Freddys (FNAF) Security Breach (SB) True Ending, featuring Glamrock Freddy and Gregory sitting on a hill and watching the sunrise

The True ending can be achieved by choosing to stay after 06:00 and then heading to the Old Elevator, which can be found in the backrooms of Roxy's Raceway. Use the Old Elevator to enter the Old Pizzeria and then go down through the rubble until you reach the bottom.

This will trigger the William Afton Springtrap Boss fight, where you will have to shut doors similarly to the first Five Nights At Freddy's games. When you beat the boss fight, a cutscene will show Freddy and Gregory escaping, finishing sitting on a hillside together and watching the sunrise.

It's a great addition to the game to have an ending that ties itself to the previous games, and the added bonus of Freddy and Gregory escaping makes this one of the better endings to achieve. However, the uncertainty of Vanessa's fate prevents it from being the best.

1 Princess Quest Ending - Three Stars

Five Nights At Freddy's (FNAF) Security Breach (SB) Princess Quest Ending, featuring gregory and Vanessa eating ice cream and sitting with Glamrock Freddy's head

The Princess Quest ending is achieved by completing all three Princess Quest arcade machine mini-games. The first two can be beaten before 06:00; one can be found in the Glamrock Beauty Salon, and the second one is in the DJ Music Man's arcade.

After completing these two, survive until 06:00 and then choose the 'Vanny' option when Freddy gives you the prompt. A cutscene will play, showing the S.T.A.F.F. bots disassembling Freddy. After this, make your way to Vanny's office and, instead of pressing the button to order the bots to disassemble Vanny, play and complete the final Princess Quest arcade game.

After you do this, a cutscene will occur, showing how all of the S.T.A.F.F. bots have been deactivated, as well as Vanny. Gregory escapes the Pizzaplex with a normal Vanessa and Freddy's head, and, following the credits, they are seen to be eating ice cream and watching the sunrise. This is, by far, the best possible and most rewarding ending to Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach, though it is the hardest one to achieve.
