Sega has just announced Football Manager 2023 will arrive on November 8. Sega didn't say what new features the game might have, but did say that it'd return to PlayStation for the first time since Football Manager 2014 on the PS Vita. It'll also release on Apple Arcade for Mac and iPad users.

"FM23 marks another significant step forward for the Football Manager series as we debut on two new platforms," said Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson. "Fans have been calling for us to produce a PlayStation title for a number of years, so I’m excited for those players to now get the chance to experience the closest thing to being a real football manager.

"Our decision to not release a Touch game on iOS or Android in 2021 was a difficult one to take and a disappointing one for some of our fans. This exciting partnership with Apple Arcade allows us to reintroduce a popular title in a way that makes sense for us as a studio and for the wider FM community."

Football Manager is a longstanding series that stretches back to 2005. Originally for PC, the game has since migrated to mobile platforms, streaming services such as Google Stadia, and mainstream consoles such as the Nintendo Switch and Xbox. Football Manager 2023 will release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Apple Arcade, and PC/Mac via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.

Early access will be available on PC storefronts for two weeks prior to November 8. Pre-order now and you'll receive a 20% discount.

One thing for sure is different from previous years. Physical editions of Football Manager 2023 won't have a disc. Instead, a unique code will be available that will let you download the game digitally on whichever platform you chose. Sega said this will lower the carbon footprint of this year’s entry by 47 percent compared to FM22.

Last, but not least, Football Manager 2023 will also release day one on Game Pass. The FM23 Console will hit Xbox Game Pass, while Game Pass for PC will get the regular version. More information on features will arrive in the coming weeks.
