For The King has an impressive array of weapons. The RPG includes over 200 unique combat items that can be unlocked. Among these are some rare gems worth protecting. There are also a few less than honorable mentions. Juxtaposed against epic tools of destruction are some truly disappointing trainwrecks.

Weapons are unlocked, dropped, and discovered as players make their way around the map. Discovering a rare and powerful weapon is one of the game's many joys. It can be just as fun to find a baffling and useless weapon. Enjoying a good belly laugh as you charge into a fight with nothing more than a soot-stained book is always a good time.

10 Best: Zeus Blade

This rare sword is on the most epic weapons in the game. The blade is shaped like a lightning bolt to honor the most powerful of the Greek gods, Zeus. This blade deals physical damage and has two powerful magical attacks. It can zap enemies with a powerful bolt of magical lightning and call down the wrath of the gods.

9 Worst: Glass Sword

This weapon may seem great at first glance. It has an extremely high damage rating and it looks really cool. Equipping the glass sword is like buying a ticket for an emotional roller coaster that no one really wants to go on. Sure, for a brief, glorious, moment you're armed with an imposing weapon and dealing epic damage.

Fail one attack roll and this sword shatters instantly leaving you with nothing but the memory of having some epic equipment. Glass weapons in this game give you just enough of a taste to get you interested before they disintegrate in your hands.

8 Best: Obsidian Rod

The obsidian rod is a powerful magic weapon that can take out some enemies with a single blow. It has the added benefit of looking really cool while doing so. This two-handed magic weapon blasts through enemies with ease. It's cold, black exterior strikes fear into the hearts of those about to be felled by its powerful attack.

7 Worst: Toy Hammer

When facing a horde of enemies in battle it's important to strike an imposing figure. Intimidation is an invaluable tool on the battlefield. This is a weapon guaranteed to strike fear into the hearts of absolutely no one. Even the name of its main attack, "bonk," is silly. Comical squeezing is not a sound of war.

6 Best: Frost Lute

The frost lute looks as cool as it feels. It also deals a lot of magic damage while doing so. This weapon has a big damage bonus against lightening and an increased gold modifier. Players will be raking in the coins while they dispatch enemies. This uncommon weapon cuts down foes with powerful magical attacks like snowball and ice bolt.

5 Worst: Broken Lute

Some of the weapons in For The King are actual trash. There's a wide cross over between the equipment bin and the adventurer's dumpster. In this case, the broken lute should have been discarded long ago. To add insult to injury, the broken lute increases dropped gold by 8% as enemies drop coins in pity. This weapon is less for combat and more for obtaining spare change.

4 Best: The Vardemoder

This rare, two-handed sword drains the life out of those it vanquishes before transferring some of it to the vanquisher. The cool name is just an added bonus.

3 Worst: Cursed Longsword

When you find a weapon with "cursed" in the name, it's safe to assume it's bad news. While this sword is a powerful weapon it also gives it's bearer a negative 25 modifier on their luck score. Enemies will also feel the power of this blade's negative aura as it inflicts attacks like Soul Slice and Blood lust. Dealing a maximum of 20 physical damage, this sword is hardly worth the trouble of carrying around. It truly is cursed and should be avoided at all costs.

2 Best: Dragon Blade

The dragon blade may be a common weapon that doesn't mean it isn't one of the best in the game. This ornate sword deals a brutal 28 physical damage. It can be used to disarm enemies as well.

Players wielding this sword will also enjoy a plus five modifier to their speed attribute. The dragon blade makes short work of slicing and jabbing foes. It also happens to look incredibly cool. With a name like "dragon blade," this sword is just an all-around joy to use.

1 Worst: Makeshift Staff

Imagine jumping into the fray of battle armed only with an old library book duct-taped to a broom handle. That's what using the makeshift staff feels like. This weapon is only good for one thing: providing some comic relief from the stress of being ambushed by lions. It provides a tiny resistance modifier and does 10 physical damage at best. This weapon isn't winning any awards for style or practicality any time soon. Simply strapping two pieces of garbage together is not a solid weapon design strategy.
