When it comes to the open world of Forspoken, you can find plenty of extra content hidden around the smallest crevices of the different areas. Specifically, you are able to encounter abominations which function as the hardest challenges the game has to offer.

Each of the abominations will have attacks based on different elements, causing you to switch up your playstyle depending on which one you are fighting. Apsaravis, Junoon's abomination, can fly. Of course, this means that it harnesses a variety of wind-based attacks, which can prove to be a struggle to deal with.

Where To Find Apsaravis

Forspoken Apsaravis Map Location

Apsaravis is probably the hardest abomination to find out of the four. To reach this boss fight, you will have to find the secret location of Nowhere. To get to Nowhere, you will need to start by heading to Crosstide Coast.

Look for the river to the east, which will show a jumping opportunity to get to the other side - you will have to use Glide to make it across. This will lead you to Farcoast Terrace.

Forspoken Area Guide - Farcoast Terrace

Farcoast Terrace is filled with jumping puzzles for you to complete in a gauntlet-like fashion, but once you get through it you will find an alternative route that will then lead you to Nowhere, which is a separate area lower down closer to the water. You can use your movement abilities to reach.

Nowhere is very small, and once you reach it, you won't have any trouble running into Apsaravis.

There are other Apsaravis fights that can be found in the Locked Labyrinth, but this guide will focus on the one found in the overworld.

Apsaravis Boss Battle Strategy Guide

Forspoken Apsaravis Frey Attacking

As mentioned, Apsaravis can fly, which can mean there are a lot of moments in the fight where you are on the floor not doing much. You are able to use Zip if you want to get closer to the action, but you are able to complete the entire fight without joining the abomination in the air, and using Zip can just make things more challenging.

What is most useful to know for the fight is that Apsaravis is highly resistant to Olas' Green Magic, but will take a lot of damage when getting hit with Prav's Blue Magic, so you should be aiming to use it as much as possible as the abomination is weak against it.

Chain Bolt will be one of the most effective attacks in your arsenal, especially to attack whilst Apsaravis is airborne.

It will be useful to have Aegis ready to deploy, as there will be an attack that can give you a lot of debuffs all at once.

Apsaravis Moveset

Forspoken Apsaravis Electric AOE Attack

There are four attacks that Apsaravis will throw out, creating damaging effects.

  • The first is a poison-like cloud that will act as an AOE on the ground. This is easy to dodge and acts as more of a problem for accidentally walking into it as your camera will be looking up at Apsaravis. If you get hit by the cloud, you will get all the negative effects in the game, so make sure you have Aegis at the ready.
  • The second attack of this nature has the abomination charging up little electric shots that will come shooting around its body. Again, this is an easy enough attack to dodge with Flow active.
  • There is a diving attack that creates a small tornado that, on impact, will launch Frey into the sky. It is hard to dodge this but it doesn't matter too much if you are hit as you can stop most fall damage by activating Flow before landing.
  • The final attack that will be shot out towards you is a wall of wind. Apsaravis will start spinning around and will then send out the attack, which gives you plenty of time to back away.

When you reduce the abomination's health by hallf, you will enter the second phase of the fight, where Apsaravis unlocks its most dangerous attack that can instantly kill you if you are caught off guard.

Apsaravis will start charging electricity to the point where it is completely covered in it like a ball. You will want to look for cover and hide to escape any damage, but if you aren't quick enough you can get away with dodging, but it is difficult to pull off.

As with the other abominations, Apsaravis also has a shrieking attack that acts as an AOE. Simply back off as the boss starts to bring in the air around it so that you aren't hit by the attack.

Rewards For Beating Asparavis

Forspoken Apsaravis Nail Rewards

Like all previous abomination fights, you will be rewarded with a set of nails for this challenging ordeal.

For beating Apsaravis, you will unlock the Escalate nail design.

These nails will enable killer blows to be chained together and will increase the damage of all spells by two percent.
