Fortnite is adding a skin for the edgiest Batman of all, The Batman Who Laughs, alongside a crossover Batman comic that seems to be reintroducing The Foundation.

Epic released a short teaser on the Fortnite Twitter account showing The Foundation, the character who most people believe to be voiced by The Rock, ending up on the shores of Gotham City.

The Batman Who Laughs is being added to Fortnite alongside a crossover comic featuring Batman battling The Foundation, called Batman/Fortnite: Foundation, releasing on October 26. The comic will feature The Foundation appearing in Gotham City and battling Batman, with The Batman Who Laughs having some sort of role in the story.

Although it may not yet be clear yet what The Batman Who Laughs is doing in the comic, he's clearly a key part of it if he's being offered up as a skin. Epic did a similar thing with the Zero Point Batman, releasing him up as a skin alongside the Batman: Zero Point comic run.

Epic discussed the Batman Who Laughs skin in a blog post, revealing that the skin comes with the Robin’s Perch Back Bling and Dark Days Loading Screen. Although the skin is offered as a free code alongside the comic, it'll also be available in the item store on October 26, similarly to previous DC skins.

Fans are speculating that the comic and teaser are hinting at the proper return of The Foundation and the reveal of his identity. Considering his name and how his armour pattern lines up perfectly with The Rock's own tattoo, most Fortnite fans believe that the character is indeed voiced by Dwayne Johnson, who has also teased some sort of role in Fortnite previously.

The appearance of Gotham City also has some fans speculating that a full DC-themed season of Fortnite is on the way, similar to the Marvel season we had earlier in the year. The Foundation is a pretty key character in Fortnite lore, so having him appear in Gotham City seems to imply that DC is going to become important as well.
