Season Six has finally arrived on Fortnite and despite all of the new stuff that there is to take in, we already have a favorite new addition.

Fortnite's sixth season is finally upon us and there are a lot of changes and a whole host of new additions. As you will have noticed unless you've been living under a rock, or don't play Fortnite at all, a large chunk of season five revolved around a giant purple cube rolling around the island. It ended its journey by descending into Loot Lake and has risen again for season six, taking the island in the middle of the lake up into the air along with it.

The latest Fortnite update has been labeled Darkness Rises, and you can see why. The changes that have been sparked by the cube and its runes have left an ominous feeling across the entire island. There will unquestionably be a lot more to come as season six progresses too, so brace yourself.

It isn't all doom and gloom on Fortnite Island of course, and that's what brings us on to what's available via this season's Battle Pass. When purchased, you will instantly be rewarded with two brand new skins, Calamity and DJ Yonder, but that's not what we're most excited about. If you buy the season six Battle Pass then you'll be able to unlock your very own Fortnite pets!

There are three pets to collect in total, Bonesy the dog (tier 12), Camo the chameleon (tier 29) and Scales the dragon (tier 43). Should you attain and equip any of these trusty companions, they will sit neatly in your backpack and come with you wherever you go. As with everything you can equip in Fortnite, they are purely aesthetic and won't help you out in any way. They will react to the situations you find yourself in, though.

Just when you think Fortnite couldn't be any better, its developers Epic go ahead and add pets to the mix. As we said, there are a lot of things to get excited about already in season six, but Camo, Scales, and Bonesy are our favorites. Now all you need to do is build up those Battle Pass tiers so that you can unlock them all. Sadly, only one of the three can accompany you on your quests at any one time, so choose wisely.
