Fortnite's Fortnitemares event is now live. Here's everything you need to know about the spooky event including all of its related challenges.

In 2018, one of Fortnite's most popular events was its Fortnitemares week which took place on and around Halloween. During the event, the island became plagued with cube monsters that players were tasked with destroying. Most of the challenges linked to the event revolved around players destroying certain numbers of each type of monster.

Fortnitemares is now back, as of 9 am EST on October 29, 2019, but this time cube monsters are nowhere to be seen. It makes sense since the cube is long gone by this point. Instead, the new map is home to someone called The Storm King for the week. Seems as if The Storm King will be calling the very center of the island home where a purple mini storm seems to have formed.

That is where players will need to head this week if they want to complete this year's Fortnitemares challenges. A handful of them involve players doing battle with and defeating The Storm King. Players will get The Storm King Medal for breaking The Storm King's first horn, and an upgraded version of the medal for destroying the second one. Defeat him and they will be awarded a maxed version of the medal.

Not all of this year's Fortnitemares challenges involve The Storm King. Players also need to destroy all haunted house furniture, leap from a hideout while 20 meters away from an opposing player, and search a chest in a haunted forest, ghost town, and a spooky farm. But wait, that's not all! Dealing damage to and reviving teammates while battling The Storm King are also on the list of Fortnitemares challenges.

So what are you waiting for? Hop on the battle bus and confront The Storm King. Unlike other Fortnite challenges, chances are players won't have long to complete the Fortnitemares challenges. Last year, players were given just seven days to do so. Chances are that will be the same this time around as who wants to continue celebrating Halloween once November is underway?
