The newest taunt you can buy with your V-Bucks on Fortnite is a backflip, and it allows you to dodge bullets in the best possible way.

One of the biggest controversies in the video game industry recently has been the issue of games forcing their players to "pay to win". That if you spend money on things like more powerful weapons and better armor, you will do better in the game. The trouble is, players have responded badly to that, quite rightly labeling it as unfair.

One game that has firmly said no to pay to win is the increasingly popular Fortnite. When the 100 players leave the party bus at the beginning of every Battle Royale match, they may look different but they all start off with exactly the same things: just a parachute to get them to the ground safely and an axe to wield once they get there.

There is money to be spent on Fortnite though - otherwise, how would the game's developers, Epic make any money? If Fortnite players so choose, they can spend some of their real life money on the in-game currency called V-Bucks. Those V-Bucks can be spent on a variety of things including different outfits, various taunts, and also novelty axes. None of those things will make you better once you're back on the island though.

As you can see from the video above, the newest taunt to arrive on Fortnite is a backflip. As you can also see in the video, YouTube user and Fortnite player, LazarBeam has been using the new taunt to dodge bullets. The whole reason behind the video was to prove to fellow Fortnite players that the purchasable backflip taunt is sort of a pay to win addition to the game.

LazarBeam may be using the backflip to dodge bullets, but it is hardly the most efficient way to do so. It takes him a fair few attempts to do it successfully and even then you either have to continue to backflip or quickly find cover. Overall, if you purchase the Fortnite backflip and manage to dodge a bullet or two then it will look extremely cool, but it isn't exactly providing you a massive advantage over those who choose not to add it to their arsenal.
