Fortnite Chapter 2 is coming to a close and for many players, its first season has been all about finding the eight letters that spell out the game's name. Since we are now in week nine, if you have found all eight letters, you might think your work is done until next season. That's where you'd be wrong. Even if you have managed to spell out Fortnite by finding every letter each week, Epic has dropped a fresh set of similar challenges called the Chaos Rising Challenges.

The Chaos Rising Challenges work in the exact same way as the previous weekly tasks. There are ten challenges to complete and once a player has ticked off eight of them, a loading screen will be unlocked. Within that loading screen is the hidden location of an XP drop, rather than a letter as with the previous eight weeks. As always, don't try to skip the challenges and head straight for the drop, as the drop will not reveal itself to you until you have completed eight of them.

Pick Eight And Leave Two

As usual, this week's challenges are a mix of ones players will complete by playing as they normally would, while others will require a little more active thinking. Eliminations with shotguns, you'll need three of them, and searching five chests in a single match should be challenges that just sort of happen. Skydiving through rings at Steamy Stacks and completing a motorboat time trial will require players to plan out their assault.

If a couple of the challenges prove tricky or you just don't like the look of them, players do have the luxury of bypassing two while still being able to unlock the loading screen. As well as the four mentioned above, players have the choice of searching ammo boxes at Steamy Stacks or Holly Hedges, dealing 250 damage to opponents from below, dance at the green, yellow, and red steel bridges, use a zip line in two different matches, three eliminations from within five meters, and dealing 500 damage to opponents in water. For that one, the player dealing the damage is the one who needs to be in the water.

We Miss You, Kevin

Once eight of the challenges have been completed and the loading screen has been unlocked, the hunt for the XP drop can begin. This one might be the trickiest to work out of all. The screen players will unlock depicts a character studying 12 monitors. The clue as to where the XP drop can be seen on one of the middle monitors and has been circled courtesy of GamesRadar. It's next to a cube, which is a statue built as a tribute to Kevin the Cube which invaded the island during Season One. The statue can be found in the southwest corner of Steamy Stacks. If eight of the Chaos Rising Challenges have been completed, the XP drop will appear next to it.

If you have only just started playing Fortnite, or you have a lot of catching up to do in terms of the weekly challenges, then don't panic. Just because the week nine challenges are now active doesn't mean the eight Fortnite letters have now disappeared forever. Players have until the end of the season, which is coming soon, to do so. Don't dilly dally if you fall into that category, and here are a few tips as to where the last few weeks' letters are still hiding.

Where To Go For "T" And "E"

Week eight's letter was one of the easiest to spot. The "E" needed to complete the word Fortnite is perched on top of a lamppost. The accompanying loading screen shows Season 2's cast of characters leaping from a dam in a speedboat to escape enemies. The "E" can be seen atop the lamppost back on the dam. Plan your assault on the "E" well enough and you won't have to jump off a dam to escape enemies once collected.

The "T" in week seven was a little trickier to find. That week's loading screen shows two characters about to square off with nothing more than a couple of blades each. In between the two of them, way off in the distance, is a bridge. Under that bridge is the letter "T," and it is really difficult to spot without someone highlighting exactly where it is. The bridge is situated in Weeping Woods and the letter can be found within its supports.

There are eight letters out there to find and one XP drop. Hopefully, you don't still have all nine to find otherwise you'll have a busy few days ahead of you. The key thing to remember before going hunting for the letters and the drop is to complete the subsequent challenges first. That's eight challenges from the corresponding weeks. There's no using challenges from one week to help you in the next, unfortunately.
