Fortnite’s Collision event is over. The season-ending finale brought the way between The Seven and the IO to a climactic conclusion that saw a giant robot stomp and shoot its way over much of the island. Alongside some fun rail shooting against teeny tiny tanks and smaller robots (relatively speaking), squads encountered the Zero Point where they were able to gaze into the immediate future of Fortnite. And what they found was a Sith Lord.

Around the nine-minute mark players can see Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi crossing lightsabers briefly from within the Zero Point. This turned out to be quite prophetic as some hours later, Darth Vader would become available as part of the Chapter 3, Season 3 battle pass.

You can obtain the Darth Vader outfit by purchasing all cosmetics on page 10 of the battle pass and then spending 9 Battle Stars. You can also grab the Lightsaber emoticon and a spray too.

Chapter 3, Season 3 of Fortnite got started after over 10 hours of lo-fi hip hop both in-game and from Fortnite’s Twitter page. Then once the new season launched earlier this morning, we were treated to a very similar vibe where the Island had been once again transformed into a summer paradise. Bubble coasters, a giant willow tree, and strange mushrooms appear in the trailer, although there's a new villain that seems to loom over the Islands' summer fun.

Along with the all-new season, Fortnite is also returning to in-person events for the first time since 2019. A statement on Epic's website said that the Fortnite Champion Series Invitational will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina starting November 12. Once again, a million dollar prize pool is available for the winning duo. Fans are speculating that the Series Invitational might serve as test to see how the Fortnite World Cup will return to in-person competition later this year.
