The latest aspect of pop culture Fortnite has paid tribute to is Saturday Night Live, as you can see from the new emote below.
No matter how much you might try, there is no avoiding Fortnite. We're fairly certain that there are plenty of you out there who roll your eyes at the very thought of the increasingly popular video game and look down on those who have been sucked in by it. The fact of the matter is, however, that those who don't play Fortnite are quickly becoming the minority as more and more people parachute down onto the island.
That's because Fortnite is infiltrating our lives in more ways than we can keep count of. You likely stumble across clips on Facebook even if you have never even played the game before. Plus, if you watch soccer you may have been exposed to a number of Fortnite dances and celebrations without even realizing. The floss? It may not have started on Fortnite, but that's where many people know it from.
There's now a brand new emote available on Fortnite that is set to become the next floss. Even though it is from something years old, a whole new generation is going to associate with the game. Your Fortnite avatar will whip out a mini llama on command and start ringing it. If you still haven't put two and two together, it's an ode to the famous Will Ferrell cowbell sketch from Saturday Night Live.

Fortnite's developers Epic confirmed that's where it got its inspiration from via the tweet announcing the release of the new emote, writing "Distract your opponents with more Llama Bell." The newest emote joins the likes of flossing, the salute, and the backflip which was controversially labeled by some as a way to dodge bullets, meaning that Fortnite was treading dangerously close to becoming ever-so-slightly pay-to-win which Epic has tried to avoid at all costs.
As touched upon above, there are clearly a lot of Fortnite fans in the soccer world. Antoine Griezmann even showcased the L Dance after scoring for France during the World Cup final. This newest emote will take a little more work if someone from the sports world wants to emulate though, including having a replica mini llama bell created. We wouldn't put it past some people though.
