Deadpool might have left Fortnite (for now) but parts of him remain on the island, including a few floaties he left behind.
The flooding of Fortnite's island to mark the transition from Season 2 into Season 3 has changed it drastically. Perhaps even more so than when players were introduced to a whole new island at the start of Chapter 2. Some of Season 2's points-of-interest have managed to survive the onslaught of water though, including The Yacht. Hardly surprising considering its a boat.
Well, actually, in Season 3, The Yacht has become a series of boats. The main one from Season 2 along with a few smaller, satellite yachts surrounding it. The Yacht has also moved, as far north as it possibly could have done while remaining within Fortnite's jurisdiction. Just head to Pleasant Park and then keep heading north until you find a cluster of boats.
Other than the loot which can be found there, the other reason players will want to pay The Yacht a visit is to complete a challenge. Deadpool made The Yacht his own towards the end of Season 2 and even though everyone's favorite anti-hero has left the building, elements of him have been left behind. Those elements include three Deadpool-themed floaties that players have been challenged with discovering.
All three floaties can be found on The Yacht, and we mean The Yacht. Not the surrounding vessels that have become part of the same POI. One can be found at the back of The Yacht on the middle deck, another is in the bowels of the boat alongside a green screen, and a third can be found where The Choppa usually sits. It's inside a shipping container which, judging by the bed, was once where Deadpool would catch some Zs.
Our hope is that since Deadpool's presence on the island has not been forgotten, the merc will one day return to the game. The addition of the Captain America skin this weekend certainly suggests Fortnite's relationship with Marvel is ongoing, despite DC's Aquaman taking center stage for Season 3. Plus, thousands of players still choose to wear the Deadpool skin, so it's sort of like he never left.
