It hasn't even been that long since Epic Games dropped vending machines into Fortnite, but now it's already time for some new content! Port-A-Fort looks to change the game by letting players instantly build a fort at the press of a button. Replays have also been added with several "cinematic" settings for capturing epic moments and even more epic fails. Add in new Cyberpunk Heroes and weapons, and the battle bus doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon.

Patch v3.5 was released today, bringing with it the Port-A-Fort, replays, and Cyberpunk items. It also brings back the 50v50 mode as a special battle royale type. While all of this is very exciting, the most hype thing is no doubt the Port-A-Fort grenade.

As a grenade item, the Port-A-Fort works by being thrown. When it hits the ground, it instantly creates a fort of pre-made design at the point of impact. This fort is guaranteed to be made of metal, have one door at the bottom, and have bouncy tires that allow for quick access to the top. Considering that fort-building is a crucial component to combat in Fortnite, an item that creates a tall metal fort out of nowhere seems like a powerful tool. That's why the Port-A-Fort is of Epic rarity, and only drops in batches of one.

The other highly-anticipated aspect of this patch is the replay system. Since Fortnite is already such a hit on Twitch and Youtube, the ability to look back on previous matches and archive video from all sorts of different angles will no doubt have content creators going crazy. Epic also teases in the patch notes that "phenomenal prizes" are on the way for replays.

Finally, Save The World is getting a new quest line called Into The Storm. This new set of missions will introduce new Cyberpunk Hero characters and themed weapons to go with them.

And that's most of what the latest Fortnite update has in store. There's a lot more minutiae that doesn't exactly make great headlines but does impact the game. Most notable is the longer equip time for certain weapons, making it so that players can't switch so easily to deal lots of damage in a quick burst. That's one that a lot of newer players will be thankful for. Some people may already be over Fortnite's takeover of gaming culture, but as long as Epic continues to add more exciting features, the game will be here for a long time.
