Epic Games is teaming up with Dominic Fike to debut Fortnite Presents: Spotlight, a live in-game concert series that will take place September 12 at 5pm ET. Two encore performances will air after the premiere – one later that night at 11pm ET and the finale Sunday morning at 1pm ET.

Fike's event will be broadcast live from Fortnite's new soundstage in Los Angeles, and this will be the artist's first ever live performance of music off his LP debut, What Could Possibly Go Wrong. This is new territory for Fortnite as well, as it will be the first time it has streamed a concert live from its studio as opposed to streaming artists as they perform from their home.

Fortnite says it will "be like nothing users have ever seen before," and will usher in a "new way to experience live entertainment with friends and family when physical shows are not possible."

Like previous events, tuning in is simple. Just launch Fortnite, hop into the Party Royale mode, and enjoy hanging out with your friends while listening to some music. The event is only happening three times, so make sure to tune in for one of the following performances:

  • Premiere: Saturday, September 12 @ 5pm ET
  • Encore: Saturday, September 12 @ 11pm ET
  • Encore #2: Sunday, September 13 @ 1pm ET

Coming along with the update is a brand-new outfit, Shimmer. You'll also be able to pick up the popular Tender Defender emote on the Item Shop for a limited time – the perfect way to show your love of Fike's megahit, Chicken Tenders.

Dominic Fike quickly rose to fame after releasing the hit single 3 Nights. He's gone on to earn rave reviews from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and Billboard. His latest album, What Could Possibly Go Wrong, released on July 31 and included tracks such as Politics & Violence, Chicken Tenders, and Vampire.

Epic Games might be having legal trouble with Apple and Google, but that doesn't seem to be slowing down the world's largest battle royale. A few weeks ago it released Season 4, alongside a massive Marvel crossover. Now, with another huge concert on the horizon, it seems all is well in the world of Fortnite.
