Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is live right now, bringing back some old points of interest, but not in the traditional sense. They haven't been brought back as they were but are instead "infecting" the map, bleeding into the world.

Logjam Lumberyard reportedly changes every game (thanks, PCGamesN), with some users claiming to have seen Roman, Atlantean, Western, and Pirate-themed variants, even bringing back Lazy Lagoon's pirate ship. Tilted Towers has also changed with construction sites cropping up.

This is likely because of the Reality Tree's roots which are spread out across the map, causing Fortnite's own history to contort around itself. Reading through the comments, you'll find plenty of players excited about all this, calling for other old POIs to return, but there's also a lot of confusion. The map is being flipped upside down while old landmarks are ripped through dimensions—confusion is more than understandable.

According to leaker HYPEX, this is only the beginning and more old POIs will return as the season continues with the roots of the Reality Tree spreading. Already, we're seeing parts of Chapter 1 and 2's POIs return, albeit not completely. They're sporadically appearing in pieces.

You can go out in the world of Fortnite right now and see for yourself, but keep an eye out as this is sure to grow over the coming weeks. It wouldn't be Fortnite without a fluid and ever-growing map, eh?

In other Fortnite news, Epic Games is teaming up with Naruto Shippuden again for a new collaboration, bringing Itachi Uchiha, Gaara, Orochimaru, and Hinata to the battle royale. Each skin boasts an alternate style and a few other accompanying cosmetic items, so if you fancy exploring the reality-bending world of Fortnite as your favourite Naruto characters, maybe now you can.
