Fortnite's collaborations continue to come thick and fast, and the next one will be a joint venture with NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Whether you like it or not, Fortnite is very much a part of mainstream society right now. If you haven't been mocked by someone via a Fortnite emote come to life, then you haven't lived. Not only are elements of the game manifesting in our real lives, but elements of our real lives have also shown up in the game.

For starters, Marvel has now collaborated with Fortnite twice in order to bring extremely addictive LTM's to the game. The latest one, to celebrate the release of Avengers: Endgame, allowed players to use iconic Marvel weapons to take down Thanos and his army. Or, it allowed players to be Thanos in order to defeat said players and their swish weapons.

Soon after the Marvel collab ended, the Wick's Bounty LTM began, which was an event to celebrate the release of John Wick 3. That might be over, but the collabs continue to come thick and fast. As you can see from the video below, Fortnite's latest crossover appears to be with the NBA, or more specifically NBA legend Michael Jordan. The latest update brings with it new skins and, of course, a new LTM.

The LTM is called Downtone Drop and is very different from anything Fortnite players will have experienced before. Rather than eliminating each other, players are tasked with riding down NYC-inspired streets on skateboards collecting coins and tagging buildings using graffiti. It also doesn't take place on Fortnite Island. Instead, players will compete in an area that was recently made by creators using Fortnite's Creative Mode.

The two new skins are called Grind and Clutch. As you can see, they are both sporting Nike Air Jordan 1s, which apparently come in different color combinations, including the colorways of the LA Lakers and Chicago Bulls. For the NBA uninitiated, the Bulls are the team that Jordan played for during the height of his fame, winning six championships with the team.

Fortnite has teased that Jordan will be further involved with this latest collaboration via the tweet above.
