Fortnite is offering more free items to PlayStation Plus members, this time in the form of a brand new skin and some matching back bling.

Epic might not want to admit it, but one of the reasons why Fortnite is so popular is because it's free. Now, don't get us wrong, it has taken a lot more than Fortnite being free to turn it into the juggernaut that it has become in less than two years. Epic has put the leg work in to get the title to more than ten million concurrent players, especially in the face of the increasingly fierce competition it continues to come up against.

That being said, it would be interesting to know how many of us would still play Fortnite if we had to pay for it. Personally, we are so hopelessly addicted at this point that if a subscription was introduced, we would probably be suckered in. If there had been a price any higher than free from the very beginning, though, we're not so sure.

As if giving us the game for free was not enough, Epic also gives us free extras - in particular, those of us who play on PlayStation 4. Every now and again subscribers to PS Plus are rewarded with free items, and that time is upon us once again. If you are signed up to PS Plus, you can now get the Carbon pack absolutely free. Here's what it includes and how to do it.

The skin included in the Carbon pack is the Carbon Commando one that was discovered by data miners in the v8.10 patch update. It comes along with its own matching back bling, which is PS customized and has the console's triangle printed on it. Getting this is easy; simply go to the PS Store, search Fortnite, and then go to game add-ons. There, you should see the Carbon Pack available for download.

According to Dexerto, as of March 26, the Carbon Pack wasn't available in all regions. However, we can't imagine why it wouldn't be eventually and, by the time you read this, it should be available where you are. Also, don't forget that although it's a free download, you do need to be a PS Plus member, which is something you don't necessarily need to play Fortnite on PS4.
