Fortnite has been sitting on top of the video game world for over a year now, and there's a good reason for that. Despite the simplicity of the game, Epic Games continually makes changes to it via regular updates. However, the updates that have come about courtesy of the v8.20 patch have not been welcomed with open arms by the game's pros.
The changes include shield and health boost for eliminations being removed and the disappearance of the 40% harvesting bonus. If there is enough backlash to changes like these, Epic tends to backtrack. However, the whole point of these latest changes is to make the game more friendly for casual players, which means that the pros might be on their own with this one.
Streamers Ninja, CouRage, Marcel, and TimTheTatMan displayed their displeasure over the changes in a rather unique way on Thursday night. The quartet took a break form Fortnite for the night and picked up a fresh pack of UNO cards instead - well, a digital pack. Since the four of them stream for a living, they naturally let the action unfold live as they normally would with Fortnite.
Honestly, we think the heated and lengthy game of UNO was more entertaining than watching them run riot on Fortnite. You can check out a snippet of it above, but be warned, it does include language that some might find offensive. Most of the colorful language comes from Ninja after he selects card after card, not getting the green that he so desperately needs to play a turn.
The action went on into the early hours of the morning and with money on the line. In fact, of them were afraid to check their bank accounts the next morning. Ninja tweeted that he checked his PayPal first thing and then went straight back to sleep, while CouRage claims that he got a call from his bank to check that everything was okay. We really hope that wasn't just a joke.
