Fortnite could boast readable comic books in-game in time to come. The popular battle royale has added a number of superheroes from both Marvel and DC over the last few months, something they're known to do where it pertains to various characters.

Epic employed some Infinity War and Endgame crossover events which were quite memorable and recent times have seen the likes of Captain America and Aquaman incorporated as playable characters. The partnerships were always likely to lead to something else and, per leaks, the game could soon present a comic book reader and in-game comics.

Said leaks come from HYPEX, a credible leaker who has made a habit of breaking Fortnite developments. According to HYPEX, a source appraised him of comic books potentially coming to the game; mining of the game's data also revealed a file named "ComicReader."

He's also posted a short clip showing a comic book, which pops up if you switch Xbox accounts while playing.

This is all a bit surprising. Epic's known for their adding of some of the strangest things to Fortnite, so this probably shouldn't even be thought of as a peculiar move, yet it's still somewhat remarkable.

Due to the association with Marvel and DC, comics would be fairly easy to get into the game. It will be interesting to see how they go about doing it, though.

We imagine fans will be pretty stoked to have comics available in Fortnite. Whether they will be findable in-game items or included in some other form is left to be seen, providing the leaks are true.

The source has also recently leaked that Marvel villain Galactus could also be coming to the game in the future.
